Our family of four just completed a 8 day tour with TCT. Janet helped organize a fantastic itinerary that was flexible and accommodating for our 75 year old mother. We loved the cable car up to the Great wall and Xi'an City wall. Yuyuan Gardens, the trip up the Pearl Tower and all the temples were breathtaking sites. The Capital Hotel in Beijing and Ramada Hotel in Xi'an were very good and the breakfasts diverse and tasty. Every lunch was an taste adventure and we loved the Beijing peking Duck dinner. The guides were very knowledgeable and we enjoyed our guide, Summer, in Xi'an very much. Thank you for an extremely enjoyable and memorable tour! Outstanding!!!

I have co-operated with Mrs Janet Chan several times during my visits to China. Need to be said that all of the services are at the very high standard. High level of dedication cannot be forgotten. All to all I find TCT and personally Mrs Janet Chan as a extremely competent and trustable business partner.

We booked a trip with Janet at TCT during February 2017. The trip needed to be tailored to our needs.... few days in Beijing, few days in Xian and a few days in QuFu (Shandong Province) where we were visiting our son. The help and service received from Janet and TCT were outstanding. Recommended, and we will definitely use Janet on our next trip to China. All guides were fine, and for individual trips we had transfers arranged, and they were always on time and excellent drivers. Thank you Janet and TCT.

I first visited China in 1975, the Canton Fair and have been a regular visitor since. In late 1976 partook in a 3 week Australia China Chamber Commerce of "approved" locations, one being that of Tianjin which was near epicenter Tangshan earthquake, staying in a Russian built colossal hotel, my how China has changed! On all previous trips I had business associates assist with my travel arrangements and this Guilin experience was the first I booked. Having never been to Guilin and always wanting to visit the karst formation mountains, I was surfing and an advertisement for TCT appeared to which I responded and immediately received a positive and informative reply from Lily. Informed her that I would be visiting a number of cities in China with my son on business and from our final city of Hangzhou I would like to visit Guilin and some attractions nearby. Lily immediately came up with a 5 day private tour proposal based on 3 star hotels and including private car transportation. The deal was so appealing I did not consider any alternatives. Arrangements were made solely by internet and whilst I was travelling. When I eventually nailed down the date I was to be in Hangzhou, Lily immediately booked a soft sleeper for the train to Guilin, some 18 hours and arranged for the ticket to be delivered to the Ramada in Hangzhou. In the course of the trip with my son in cities such as Taizhou, Handan, Chongqing, Tonglu and Hangzhou we mentioned my intended solo trip to Guilin and all were amazed that I, a Caucasian foreigner not able to speak Mandarin, would be capable of having a successful trip. Well at my hotel in Hangzhou there was the rail ticket as arranged, no problems to take the new Hangzhou subway to the East Hangzhou train station and on my way, sharing my soft sleeper with 3 Mandarin speaking fellow travelers The train arrived at Guilin station precisely on time, 12.18 and outside the terminal was met by my guide for the duration of my trip, the lovely and most capable 23 year old Yu Ming. She whisked me away to see the local sites of Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill, and Fubo Hill then to book into Universal Guilin Hotel 3*, top location. Yu Ming accompanied me to one of her favourite restaurants which offered live; snake, bamboo rats, various turtle and many fish. I settled on what is known as duck bill fish which is boneless but expensive, about RMBY220 per half kilo, other dishes as little as one tenth this cost. Following day joined hoards of other travelers on a flotilla of boats meandering some 83km downstream on Li Jiang (Jiang = River). The karst mountains are spectacular and the water clear and quite rapid, particularly in shallows. Considerable activity along the river conducted mainly from 12 pole bamboo rafts made of PVC pipe! Have a RMBY20 note with you and take a photograph of the scenery around Xing Ping which appears on the note. Met three fellow travellers,Guandong residents, who heard from Yu Ming we were to ride bicycles on arrival at Yangshuo and although none spoke any English they asked to accompany us when we ride hired bicycles to the Yulong River through the Yangshuo countryside. Off we set through relatively busy traffic but soon into serene countryside, easy riding. On reaching the Yulong we( Yu Ming and myself) hire a 10 bamboo pole raft (genuine bamboo), placed our bikes on the stern with poleman, sat in a pair of chairs and drifted down the Yulong (Dragon) River, going over weirs of more than 1 metre high, meandering through beautiful scenery and karst mountains to, too soon, to land at a banyan tree said to be 1,400 years old. Off loaded bikes and before setting on way to hotel, Ai Yuan 3*, bought from local vendor, a BBQ fish similar to a sardine, which you ate ,including backbone, from the skewer. Back on our bikes to have dinner at one of many local restaurants and then to the second performance for the night of Liu Sanjie, a love story familiar to all Chinese. A cast of over 700 from the Zhuang, Miao and yao minority in a setting of 1.4 hectares ( 3.5 acres) with karst mountains in background, backlit. Spectacular colours and lights, each performance holding 3000 spectators. To avoid queues for buses and taxis we rode a motorbike, 3 up, for total of RMBY10. During breakfast I could hear bursts of staccato which, was to see later, a funeral of a father. All mourners in white and the son and daughter of the deceased father were in long whites. The crackers were exploding and vast quantities of paper money floating everywhere to be quickly cleaned up by following street sweepers. Our driver, Qin caught up with us at 8 in the morning for an early start for the Longji rice terraces and the following day a visit to the Dong minority village, Yanzhai in the Sanjiang region (three rivers). More of that elsewhere My one regret, I did not have an additional day to enjoy the serenity of the Yulong River. I have had no further contact with tour organiser Lily, all is going like clockwork, Yu Ming not only a highly knowledgeable guide but is astutely aware of her charge's preferences, who is more than three times her age. I put this awareness down to the fact that Yu Ming is not only text book tourist taught by The Guilin University of Tourism, but she had recently spent some 8 months at the Epcot Centre in Florida.

Me, my brother, and mother just got back from our 3.5 week trip all around China with TCT. From the moment we landed in Beijing we had an experienced and friendly guide waiting for us at the airport (Felix who was GREAT!). All of our guides throughout the cities we went to were very knowledgeable, had stellar English, and were very friendly. The drivers of our personal van were also very nice and did their job very well. The trip was planned with great detail and thought by Janet- we got to see so much in our 3.5 weeks there from The Forbidden City in Beijing, The Great Wall, Pandas and Hot Pot in Chengdu, Shanghai, Rice Patties in Chengdu, The Terracotta Warrios in Xian and so much more! We highly recommended top China Travel and loved the personal touch they added to our wonderful trip. Many thanks, Catherine, Dragana, and Paul

Enjoyable busy day!7 am start covering Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City early on amidst tight crowds followed by an unexpected stop at Pharmacy institute where we were able for a small “tip” enjoy a short foot massage and consultation with a Chinese medicine expert. Unfortunately this turned into an embarrassing pressure sell of his prescribed medicines which left us underwhelmed!Lunch was acceptable followed by a wiz around the Temple of Heaven. On the way to our final destination the Summer Palace we had another unexpected stop and “selling” opportunity at a pearl factory (store actually). Guide had his own sense of humour and opinions which were often unintelligible or off the wall and his English Weaker than other “English” speaking guides that we have experienced in China.All that said, we had a good day out in some very worthwhile places to visit and felt it value for money. Our favorite was the relative peace of the Summer Palace surroundings and in particular watching the old guys flying kites at heights I could not imagine possible.

Our family experienced Beijing, Xian, and Shanghai to the fullest; mostly due to Top China Travel. The arrangements, itineraries, logistics, guides, and drivers were of the highest professional standard.
Each day was special.
The personal attention given to our family by the guides, included making arrangements to attend an evening performance in each city.
We look forward to returning to China and will confidently work with Top China Travel in the future.

We hired TCT as a private guide as we traveled from Shanghai to Beijing with lots of stops in between. We had the most incredible time. Our tour guides and drivers were professional and amazing. Each tour guide treated us as if we were part of their family. They were always prompt and courteous. Most importantly, their knowledge kept us wanting to know more. We loved the traditions and cultures. We highly recommend the Impression shows, especially the one on West Lake. Our favorite over night arrangements was when we stayed at Courtyard 7 in the Hutong, in Beijing. It was nice being part of the culture. Thanks TCT for a most memorable trip.

We still can't believe that we've spent 11 days of dream in China, organized for us by TCT Guilin. The pick ups at the different airports went without a hitch. our guides were warm and so friendly, although a few were quite busy with their IPhone. The hotels recommended were outstanding. The breakfast at The Marriott were excellent. The terra cotta army in Xian is a marvel. The dumpling banquet in Xian was somewhat below our expectations though. The cruise on the Yang Tse river, a once in a lifetime experience though a bit too short. Don t hesitate to upgrade to the suite on the Victoria cruises (Victoria Selena), you won't regret it, a panoramic view of breath taking intensity....quite interesting shore excursions, they are worth the money. We would hesitate one second to book another and longer trip with TCT Guilin.

My wife and I chose TCT to plan a two week private tour of China for us and we are very glad that we did. Yocky, our travel planner, was excellent and everything worked out exactly as she had told us it would. The guides were well chosen and by and large spoke quite passable English. The younger ones sometimes tended to try and cram too much to do in one day for an older couple, but they were very flexible and quite willing to make minor alterations to our set progamme on our request. All in all, I would recommend TCT to anyone who wants an in depth look at China and its people.

I am a tour leader from Italy and this was my first cooperation with Janet and how lucky we met her!! We followed the trip with her to remote areas in China including some ethnic group area in Guizhou province and Sanjiang, Longsheng and Guilin, we enjoyed completely throughout the whole trip and some arrangement even out of our surprise, like we went to Janet’s home to learn how to pack Chinese Ravioli, she invited a Taichi teacher and we had a 1 hour Taichi class inside her home community. Everything was fine and our group members are all like her very much. We strongly recommend Janet Chan (janet@topchinatravel.com) as your China trip consultant! She is so considerate and carefully planned each detail of our trip. Guizhou is a very interesting and primitive place for visiting, you should include in your China trip as well! Thank you Janet! You are very professional!!

It has been a wonderful private tour with TCT visiting Hong Kong, Guilin, Yangshuo, Xian, Bejing. We were promptly received at every airport and train station and warmly welcomed by all of the tour guides and also brought to our departure flights and trains always on time with warm and friendly smiles. This team (Billy, Summer, Eric) is very responsible which is very comforting for a traveller. Billy (Guilin/Yangshuo), Summer (Xian) and Eric (Bejing) are very knowledgeable about these cities and towns, and, easily provide the historical and traditional context of things which provided us deep understanding and clarity to our perspectives. We really enjoyed the Four Lakes cruise (Guilin), dinner in Yangshuo West Street, the performance impressions of Liu Sanjie (Yangshuo), Imperial show and Dumpling Banquet (Xian), dinner in the Houhai lake (Bejing), Peking Roast Duck at Quanjude Restaurant. At every location where we ate this team (Billy, Summer, Eric) ensured that our food preferences were taken care of even when it meant some last minute changes to the menu. Great flexibility. Strongly recommend these apart from visiting all the cultural and historical sites. Outstanding planning by Bonnie and immaculate execution by Billy, Summer, Eric made this a wonderful and memorable trip. Thank you guys and girls of TCT.

We finished our trip to China (2.5 weeks) before one week, and from then we have not stopped thinking and talking about it. Undoubtly was one of the best trips we have ever had. The trip was organized for 2 couples by TCT's agent Janet Chan who did a PERFECT planning and organization. Everything worked so well, starting with the scheduled plan, the outstanding guides, the proffesional drivers, the vans we had, the excellent hotels we stayed on. Everything was well planned and perfect delivered. We will not forget our guides, Alice in Shanghai, Linda in Beijing, Sue in Xian and Juli in Guilin and Yangshou, everything supervised and controled by Janet Chan. Thanks to all the team for enabling us to know China and its great People. Benny Stein.
