In April and May, 2017, my wife and I went to China. We booked our trip online from Australia. The girl we dealt with was called Rebecca. She was absolutely fantastic. We changed our minds, about our destinations, many times, in the planning process but Rebecca was always there to give us advice and make suggestions. At one stage, we hadn't heard from her, for about two days. She apologised for the delay because she got married!
We went to Shanghai, Guilin,Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Chengdu, Lhasa, Xian and Wuhan. We had the good fortune to meet Rebecca when we were in Guilin. It was great to meet the person, who had made our trip so absolutely successful.
We found out about Top China Travel, via Trip Adviser. We can only say, from our experience, if you are going to China, book through them and ask for Rebecca. Rebecca was a pleasure to deal with and she is an absolute asset to this company.

We visited Beijing, Xian, Guilin, and Hong Kong. Our agent Rebecca was very helpful setting up the trip and very responsive to our questions. Our guide in Beijing, Linda, was a joy to be around. We made a friendship with her as we ended up spending a lot of time together. This personal service is most valuable to me as a seasoned world traveler who is used to solo travel. Having her as a guide made me feel like I knew someone in Beijing who was taking me to all those places I had previously only read about. Xian is cultural and Guilin is beautiful and we are so happy with our selection and with TCT.

I am so glad that I did the day tour. The scenery was stunning. I stay on the top deck most of the time during the cruise. I meal wasn't that great. I was very excited to get to see the picture on the 20 yuan in real life.

We just got back from a week long trip in China covering Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu with TCT. We did Hangzhou and Shanghai on our own. TCT was suggested by a friend since his friend had used them before. My wife and I found Tina from TCT to be excellent and very helpful and accommodative in organizing our trip - including helpful suggestions on where to eat etc. she even organized our inter city travel tickets - we flew on China Eastern. Our guides in Xi'an (Paul) and in Chengdu (Lin) were simply fantastic. Paul was extremely professional, knowledgable and helpful. His explanations and English were super and he has lived in the US before. Lin was extremely friendly, kind and helpful - we had a fantastic time with her. Her English was super and we had a lot of fun in the trip. Both Paul & Lin are extremely good and enthusiastic about what they do and anyone having them as guides are very lucky - they even helped us in ordering food and interacting with the locals and adjust our itinerary. In Beijing you need to have strong legs and our guide Grace surely had them. Grace is friendly and energetic. The ground transportation used was excellent and the drivers were safe and courteous. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend TCT. We stayed in the Shangri-la chain of hotels throughout our trip and they were simply fantastic - excellent service, breakfast, locations and room - really felt like a home. Absolutely no regrets in our choices for Our China trip.

The country is beautiful and glamorous from the inside and the outside. Including the people. Special thanks to our tour guide,LILY who made our trip memorable She planned everything from our our tickets to our food and shopping. Her service was excellent just like her behaviour. We had a misfortune of losing three newly bought phones. Even though we couldn't get the phones back lilly helped us through all the procedure from the police station to the street cc tv. And the lunch she provided us today in front of the great wall was perfect and elegant. Thank you for everything lilly. Hope we get you the next time we visit china again. And visit my country bangladesh anytime you like with your daughter and husband :)

Top China Travel put together a fantastic tour for my wife, myself and another couple. We started in Shanghai, then went to Guilin, on to Chengdu, Xian and ending in Beijing. All the stops, travel, tours and meals were handled by TCT and their guides without so much as a hick-up. Great job done by all!!! Everyone was so helpful and willing to address any questions we may of had to make sure our trip was the best which it was. Guilin in the south with the rice fields (best meal we had was with the local family) to the Li River cruise was the best. Also found a great little massage shop by hotel that we took advantage of 2 nights. Chengdu was all about the Pandas, too cute for words. :) Xian and the Terra Cotta warriors was simple spectacular and ending in Beijing with a rickshaw ride and the Great Wall. It couldn't of been better unless we had more time to spend with them. We can't say enough about Maggie from TCT who helped pull it all together for us and put up with all my questions and changes. To the tour guides and big thank you for taking care of us when we were with you and finally to our drivers, I don't know how you guys do it but hats off to the bunch of you...great job! Look forward to a return trip.

We were met at the airport by Christina Xiena from TCT at Xi'an train station. She was curtious and extremely knowledgeable. She started telling us the history of our scheduled itinerary in the car on the way to the hotel. That inspired and excited us for our upcoming visit to Xi'an. She was enthusiastic, energetic and protective. The hotel was great too. She took us to the Terracotta Army excavations, the Huashan Mountain, Thai Chi demonstration on the Wall of the City, calligraphy at the TangBo Museum, arranged our massages at her local salon (amazing!), Muslem area trip, pearl factory, lots of food and shopping. She was so willing to accommodate our every whim. She put me and my friend on the plane to Shanghai and helped us get our extra luggage on the plane using contacts from her travel company. In Shanghai we were met by Vicky. Another great guide. She knew how to get us around the city and most certainly spoke very good English. She took us to the Silk factory, Bottle opener building (Shanghai financial center) , Water city (unexpected add-on to the tour), Buddhist temple, plenty shopping and food. The hotel was great again. We recommend this travel company. You will never be disappointed. You can trust them from all angles.

We had our family reunion 2017 in China, visiting Beijing, Xi’an and Chendge. Sophie was excellent and instrumental in helping us with the planning, she spent months organising and arranging. Her response was always prompt, helpful, and detailed while responding to our enquiries. We had Mr. Li in Xi’an as our guide who was phenomenal, he is very proficient in his English and knowledgeable of the city of Xian and Chinese history. Even though lunch was not included in our itinerary, Mr Li accompanied us to restaurants. In Beijing, initially we had Mr Leo who was energetic & caring, but was unable to deliver. From the second day for Beijing & Chengde we had Mr Mike as our guide who was professional. We were travelling with senior citizens & kids and all guides were extremely accommodating. I highly recommend TCT to anyone planning a trip to China. Thank you Sophie, Li, Leo and Mark for the fantastic trip!!

My daughter and I took a private tour with Top China Travel to Shanghai, Guilin, Chengdu, Xian and Beijing. I really enjoyed the private tour as opposed to a bus tour, because we were able to discuss some details with our tour guides and make slight changes to the itinerary. For example, we loved the Panda Reserve in Chengdu, so instead of leaving early to have lunch elsewhere, we were able to eat sandwiches there and spend more time with the pandas. Also, while visiting Tiananmen Square I commented to our guide that it would be interesting to go inside Chairman Mao's Mausoleum someday and see his preserved body. The guide noticed that the line wasn't long and asked if we'd like to go now. We said 'yes', and he took us in even though it wasn't on the itinerary. We had to pay a small fee to check our bags since no bags are allowed inside, but we loved our guide's flexibility. Bus tours aren't as flexible. Two of our favorite days were the Chengdu Panda Reserve and hiking the Wohushan Great Wall. I must mention that hiking the Wohushan Great Wall was very difficult and took every ounce of energy we had; it isn't for everyone. But if you are in good shape and love challenging hikes, you may really enjoy this hike. (Other visitors should visit another section of the Great Wall.) Another favorite day happened in Shanghai. It was a very personal day. My daughter was adopted from Shanghai, so we asked Janet at Top China Travel to help us visit her orphanage. They were able to arrange this visit. It meant a lot to us. The two places where I wish we had spent more time was in Guilin and the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. Guilin is a lovely town with five lakes that are connected and surrounded by a park that stretches across the small city. There is also a lovely shopping area in town. It would have been nice to have another two - four hours to simply walk and relax in Guilin. It can get hot there, so this extra time might not be fun if its mid-day during the summer months. The Temple of Heaven was nice, but what I really loved was the park surrounding it. The Chinese gather there to exercise, practice martial arts, sing, dance, play games and much, much more. I could have easily spent 2 hours simply relaxing in the park watching people. All of the hotels were nice and clean. All of the breakfast meals at the hotels were wonderful. All of our guides were eager to please, although we had trouble understanding a couple of them. There English was always good, but sometimes the pronunciation needed improvement. Our favorite guides were Cherry in Guilin and Jimmy in Beijing. We loved our tour agent, Janet. She was helpful from the beginning of the planning process all the way through the end of our trip. If I return to China, I will use Top China Travel again.

We wanted to do a short tour while stopping in Chengdu before flying to Kunming. We had used TCT very successfully before for a tour of Yunnan so they were our natural choice. As before the service we received was excellent. Daniel Mo, who was our email contact at the company was prompt and very efficient in his dealings. David our guide was knowledgeable and spoke very good English. The Old Chengdu Club hotel was excellent and our driver very steady! Trip arrangements were immaculate and the day trip to the Bifeng Panda reserve a sheer delight. I can happily recommend TCT
