From the 1st point of contact till the end Joyce was great and helped plan a perfect trip which I was for a short time in Beijing. I was traveling alone and was recommended to join a small group of fellow travelers which was perfect. Great tour guide with a clean bus. Pick up on time and overall a great experience.

Raylene did a wonderful job organizing our tour to meet our time constraints. She answered all questions very efficiently. Our tour guide Rocco met us at the airport and the Driver was waiting near by. I have specific dietary restrictions and the guide was extremely helpful communicating that with the restaurants. The trip was so easy and we always felt safe. My husband and I are looking forward to booking a more extended trip in the future. There is so much to see and the food is wonderful!

We (party of 4) have only positive reviews for our recent Beijing tour (sept 28 to oct 2, 2017) with Top China Travel. We read other travellers' review before choosing top china travel and they were accurate as our trip was seamless, no hiccups and Linda our english tour guide made sure we got to see as much as we could in those 5 days. Linda met us at the airport without a glitch and took us to Howard Johnson paragon, checked us in and made sure we got everything we needed for the evening. The next day Linda arrived promptly at the hotel to start our tour. Linda made sure we understood when she was explaining the history of all the sites. She knows a lot of historical information, quoting dates and names of emperors, etc. For our lunches she made sure she ordered the spicy food we enjoyed tremendously. When we were leaving Linda came inside the airport to make sure we went to the right counter to check in. Our hats off to the driver Mr. Zhao who was always on time in picking us up at all locations, despite the heavy traffic and some impatient drivers on the road. We had a very positive experience with Top china travel and highly recommend them to all travelers..

We used Top China Travel for a 6 day Beijing City Tour and Badaling Great Wall Tour and we must say we were very impressed! Our tour guide Tina was very fluent in English and did a very good job of explaining the significance behind the various historical sites and attractions. As a vegetarian family, they were able to arrange a vegetarian lunch on both days for us. The only issue we had was that they only provided us two hours on the Great Wall which we realized was not adequate enough, given the huge crowd that visits the Badaling section of the wall. Apart from that, we would definitely recommend Top China Travel to anyone visiting China!

This 6-Day tour of Beijing was fantastic! Our tour guide, Tom, gave us lots of great information about China's rich history as we toured Tiananmen Square, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, the Beijing Zoo, a tea house, a pearl factory, a silk factory, a Hutong tour (where we painted face masks in the Peking Opera style) and the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall of China! The toboggan ride down from the Great Wall was especially memorable! Be sure to include this exciting ride in your itinerary. We learned about the different dynasties, some of the Emperors who built or re-built the historic landmarks in Beijing and the fascinating Dragon Lady! We also saw a great Kung Fu show and, thanks to some last-minute arranging by Tom, we were also able to see an incredible acrobatics show after a delicious Peking Duck dinner. Tom even arranged for one of the locals at the Temple of Heaven to lead us through some TaiChi. This tour is worth every penny. I can't imagine trying to navigate your way around this huge city without a driver and tour guide. There is no way we could've seen even half of what we did in such a short amount of time. We didn't have to worry about driving, parking, buying tickets or standing in line. Tom and the driver took care of all of those time-consuming details for us. Tom taught us so much with his stories and commentary along the tour and he also went way above and beyond by recruiting the help of one of his friends to help us package up all our purchases and ensuring they would fit on the train and plane on our way home! If you are planning a visit to Beijing, make the most of your time and sign up for this tour. You will see more, learn more and have more fun! Be sure to ask for Tom.

The 6 day Guilin tour had been very well designed with the help of M/s Raylene He, adviser of TCT. All the time had been fully filled and extremely enjoyable, visiting special, beautiful and interesting cultural, historical and scenic places. The tour general service had been very good, specially with the professionalism of the English speaking tourist guide M/s Tang Yong Hong. I would express my appreciation for these two excellent professionals for the good time provided with this tour.

We had a fantastic 6 day trip. The guide and driver were very friendly and kind to us. Everything was well organised, Yangshuo is definitely the highlights of Guilin. We hope we could spend longer time there. We did everything fun, Bamboo rafting on Yulong River, Xingping Old Town. The cycling was amazing , we really enjoyed the ride in stunning the scenery. Guilin is also a nice city with nature, we climbed the Diecai hill to see the whole city. Very impressive. Good job, good arrangement.

We used Top China Travel to plan and execute our time in Beijing. They were very quick in responding to our requests and helped us create a personalized 6 day tour, giving us all the information we needed ahead of time. Our guide, Louise, was wonderful. She is personable and it was a pleasure to spend time with her. Her English is great and she is very knowledgeable about Chinese history and culture. She could answer any questions we had and we learned so much. Our trip was successful because of our time with her. We had a driver who took us to each place and all entry fees were included in our tour price which was very convenient. I highly recommend this type of tour in a city that could have otherwise been intimidating. We will definitely use TCT again.

My daughter and I had a terrific 6 day adventure hiking the Great Wall of China, made extra special by our wonderful, caring, attentive, informative, experienced guide, Jack Chen, and our kind and thoughtful driver, Mr. Zhou. We hiked the Gubeikou, Jinshanling, Wohushan, Jiankou, and Mutianyu sections of the Great Wall,.5-6 hours a day, with our guide, Jack Chen offering information about Chinese history, culture, politics, life, food, and what's it's like to live in China. Jack even gave us tai chi and kung fu lessons in the evening. The hikes offered spectacular views of the mountain ranges and valleys with views of the winding wall in the distance. You can just imagine the enemy armies trying to attack from the north. We took hundreds of pictures! I even got to celebrate my birthday on the second day of the hiking tour and asked other hikers we met to sing happy birthday to me in their own language. Jack and Mr Zhou surprised me with a delicious birthday cake which we all devoured after dinner. Our accommodations were suitable. We ate delicious food, carefully chosen by Jack, being attentive to my daughter's gluten-free needs...no bread, dumplings or wheat noodles. Hiking the "wild wall" on the 3rd day was really challenging! We hiked on very rough, broken, steep, overgrown, and narrow sections of the wall, but it was well worth it! We did welcome the cable car ride down. By the end of the 3rd day, we were tired and our legs felt it! Make sure you wear comfortable and sturdy hiking or trail shoes, carry a small day pack with snacks and water, light layers and a rain jacket. The weather changes a lot. This was a truly marvelous experience, not to be missed even if you hike only one day. If you are lucky to get Jack Chen as your guide, you will be very fortunate and extremely pleased and satisfied. He is a special person! Our trip was indeed, memorable!

I enjoyed my trip to China thanks to my tour guides; Angela in Beijing and Waiting in Shanghai. Both of them were incredibly knowledgeable about their particular cities and were able to answer any questions I had. I wouldn't have taken so many great pictures if it weren't for my tour guides and them advising me on great picture moments. With both Angela and Waiting, it felt like I was touring China with good friends; which was great since I went on this trip solo. I will definitely book with TCT next time I visit China. Thank you for making my first vacation abroad memorable.

Back in Lisbon, Portugal after a safe trip. Two weeks in China went fast. The first week, in Beijing, was for professional reasons (Conference), on our own (myself and my wife). We had visit Beijing nine years ago. We got now a better knowledge of Beijing (we use a lot the subway system this time, although taxis are affordable) and after this we discover Shangai and Hangzhou. The trip was organized quite in the last moment and TCT (Vicky Lu) was very helpful. Most of business was done by email and phone. We had visit in the past: Nanjing, HK, Macau, Guanzhou and Shenzen. This last week… the trip went ok and all the transfers were easy and the guides always on time. The drivers were nice and professional. The guides were sympatic and careful. In general the guides had a good (reasonable) handling of English. We met briefly twice Jane in Beijing. She took good care of us. Our guide in Shangai (Aiko?) made us see the planned journey and she was kind. Our guide in Hangzhu (Momo) was very easy to deal, more open and had quite good domain of English. She was funny. Lucas (we only meet him briefly) took us to Shangai train station. Nice guy. All the lunch meals were quite acceptable and the choice made in local restaurants pleased us. The Equatorial Hotel in Shangai was comfortable and up to the standards required (although no internet was complementary included in the room, why not?). The Hotel was located a little faraway from the center (beginning of West Nanjing Road) but it was easy to get restaurants near by. Since taxis are cheap in China, we could move easily to the People´s Square zone and West Nanjing Road … and other places (Pudong, etc). The West Lake Hotel in Hangzhou was below our expectations. We found the Train Stations fantastic, modern, functional and well organized… much better than in Europe. A suggestion… the local guides could give more hints for “things to do “ after the program. Myself and my wife… we are quite easy going and curious and we find our own way in order to know better the places we are visiting… but for other people visiting a few suggestions could help. Overall we had a good time. José Moura

From the planning of the trip with Janet to the amazing private guided tour given by Jimmy and driving by Mr. I, we felt cared for and pampered. We arrived on my birthday and Jimmy waited for hours for us due to a delayed flight for one of our party, with a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my birthday. We had asked for a hike along the Great Wall and were able to hike a five hour stretch on a nearly deserted piece of mountain trail culminating in a fantastic view of the snaking wall near Inner Mongolia. Jimmy was encouraging to us as not all of our party were the best hikers. Jimmy gave accurate historical descriptions of what we were about to see, he didn't make up answers to our sometimes random questions, but tried to find out the answers to them if he didn't know. He was personable and seemed to know what we needed before we did. Mr. I is a talented driver, navigating the chaotic Beijing streets with smoothness and skill getting us to our destinations in a timely manner. He also made sure we had water, which was essential for the hot (90*) and above days we were there. Our three star hotel the Holiday Inn Express was a new facility with great amenities. We had been worried that three stars in China might be a bit iffy, but this was very nice. We just happened upon Top China Travel on the Internet, but couldn't be more pleased with our experience.
