My wife and I chose TCT to plan a two week private tour of China for us and we are very glad that we did. Yocky, our travel planner, was excellent and everything worked out exactly as she had told us it would. The guides were well chosen and by and large spoke quite passable English. The younger ones sometimes tended to try and cram too much to do in one day for an older couple, but they were very flexible and quite willing to make minor alterations to our set progamme on our request. All in all, I would recommend TCT to anyone who wants an in depth look at China and its people.

I went to China on July (2017) and had a great experience with TCT. Our organizer was Janet and she was really helpful during our stay in China. They helped us with the itinerary and it was valuable choice to do the tour with an organizer in order to know more places. We had a great time during the 21 days we stayed in China and all the small problems we had, Janet took care of it. Felt really secure and look foward to have another experience with TCT!

My sister and I were looking for an independent tour to China and Tibet and after writing to three different agencies with our proposed route and activities we decided to go with TCT travel. Why TCT? Daniel Mo, our contact person responded quickly to every email that we sent. He was both professional and friendly. An excellent travel agent! The planning was personal. If we didn’t like a proposed hotel or tour, he came up with something better. He made recommendations about sights worth seeing and places worth skipping. Nothing was too much to ask; he wanted us to be satisfied. The other two agencies were more inclined to offer standard hotels and tours. The bank transfers were efficient. There was no hassle with money. Our route: Beijing, Lhasa, Xian, Guilin-Yangshou, Shanghai, a total of 17 days in October. Seeing Tibet was to be the highlight of our trip. Daniel arranged the Tibet permit, a hotel in the center of Lhasa and a local Tibetan guide who was truly amazing. If you have the time and are not frightened off by the high altitude (you must take medicine), go to Tibet!! That being said, our entire China-Tibet trip was fantastic. We enjoyed everything that we did, all of our tours. The hotels had excellent locations (extremely important). Our guides were wonderful and did everything they could to make things run smoothly. They all met us at the airport(s) upon arrival and assisted us at departure. They accompanied us everywhere organizing and translating and of course supplying us with information at all of the tour sights. They ordered our lunches based on what we like to eat (my sister is a vegetarian). We were never herded around like a tour group. The approach was personal and flexible. All of our transportation was arranged perfectly by Daniel/TCT; flights, trains, vans, cars, boats, bicycles and rickshaws. We could not have asked for a better introduction to China and I would certainly recommend TCT to anyone who wishes to travel independently. From the planning phase to the actual execution; excellent!

After much research we decided to go with Top China Travel for our 15 day trip to China. We worked with Janet and what a wonderful help she was. Janet answered our multitude of questions with patience. She offered helpful suggestions, helped us with our tour on the spot when a plane flight was cancelled, booked us outstanding hotels, and we had excellent service. They even called us and wondered if everything was going well in China. From the moment we touched down in China, our tour guides and drivers were right there for us showing us sights, answering questions, changing plans if we wanted to see other things, and helped us above and beyond what we expected. We went to Beijing, Xian, Xining, Lhasa, Chongqing, on a Yangtze River Cruise, visited Yichang and Shanghai. Quite the amazing trip. I would highly recommend Top China Travel for your travel needs to China. They were also reasonably priced. Thanks Top China Travel and Janet. What a trip!

Top China Travel is the the tops! I booked an 21 day tour of China for my husband and I and from the very first contact with Lily Lui I was totally impressed. We communicated via e-mail and Lily was very quick and helpful with her responses. Because this was not our first trip to China, I wanted an itinerary that was different from the norm. Lily's recommendations were top notch. The hotels she used were top shelf as we requested. Our guides and drivers were fantastic. What impressed me the most was that when we were in China, Lily called to speak to me and make sure everything was going well. When I ran into some issues due to altitude sickness, I contacted her and she had the itinerary changes done and finalized within an hour. This was a private tour with guide and driver and I honestly can say there was not one thing I wished we had done differently. Thanks to Top China Travel and Lily our trip to China was perfect. I will definitely be contacting Lily when we return to China for yet another visit.

Enjoyable busy day!7 am start covering Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City early on amidst tight crowds followed by an unexpected stop at Pharmacy institute where we were able for a small “tip” enjoy a short foot massage and consultation with a Chinese medicine expert. Unfortunately this turned into an embarrassing pressure sell of his prescribed medicines which left us underwhelmed!Lunch was acceptable followed by a wiz around the Temple of Heaven. On the way to our final destination the Summer Palace we had another unexpected stop and “selling” opportunity at a pearl factory (store actually). Guide had his own sense of humour and opinions which were often unintelligible or off the wall and his English Weaker than other “English” speaking guides that we have experienced in China.All that said, we had a good day out in some very worthwhile places to visit and felt it value for money. Our favorite was the relative peace of the Summer Palace surroundings and in particular watching the old guys flying kites at heights I could not imagine possible.

We took a Li river tour into the mountains on our only day off. All I can say is do not miss this opportunity. The views are spectacular and you will even go past the scene on the back of the 20 yuan bill. Amazing!

Raylene did a wonderful job organizing our tour to meet our time constraints. She answered all questions very efficiently. Our tour guide Rocco met us at the airport and the Driver was waiting near by. I have specific dietary restrictions and the guide was extremely helpful communicating that with the restaurants. The trip was so easy and we always felt safe. My husband and I are looking forward to booking a more extended trip in the future. There is so much to see and the food is wonderful!

We finished our trip to China (2.5 weeks) before one week, and from then we have not stopped thinking and talking about it. Undoubtly was one of the best trips we have ever had. The trip was organized for 2 couples by TCT's agent Janet Chan who did a PERFECT planning and organization. Everything worked so well, starting with the scheduled plan, the outstanding guides, the proffesional drivers, the vans we had, the excellent hotels we stayed on. Everything was well planned and perfect delivered. We will not forget our guides, Alice in Shanghai, Linda in Beijing, Sue in Xian and Juli in Guilin and Yangshou, everything supervised and controled by Janet Chan. Thanks to all the team for enabling us to know China and its great People. Benny Stein.

My 19 year old daughter and her friend wanted to see something of China before spending 8 weeks studying in Beijing. Rebecca from TCT arranged the itinerary. Everything went extremely smoothly and the girls had a wonderful time which included bicycle riding, sechuan opera and the panda breeding center. One of the guides in particular went over and above the call of duty to give the girls a great time. My daughter had her birthday during the trip and rebecca arranged for the guide to buy a beautiful birthday cake for her. it was the trip of a lifetime.

When we booked our trip to China we had a limited time to see everything we wanted to but Janet Chan at TCT did an absolutely amazing job at ticking every box and more. The itinerary was perfect. Journeys and accommodation were meticulously planned and accomplished. Our guides too were excellent. Alex in Beijing, Ken in Xian, and especially Maria in Shanghai were so professional and efficient that we never felt like strangers in a strange land. Many thanks TCT, best trip ever.
