Located about 9.8 kilometers from Tianmen Mountain, its main tower stands 109.9 meters tall, with a 38-meter-high central hollow arch that aligns visually with Tianmen Cave, forming the unique “Double Cave Perspective” attraction.
Many visitors choose to explore Tianmen Mountain during the day, then head to 72 Qilou in the evening to experience its nighttime light show. If you arrive earlier, you can walk among restored Qing and Ming dynasty buildings, such as Da Fu Di and Zhuang Yuan Lou, and admire the precision of traditional mortise-and-tenon woodwork.
When the light show begins at 6:00 PM, the entire stilt-house complex is illuminated in vibrant colors, creating a dreamlike atmosphere perfect for photos. With a bit of luck, you might also catch immersive folk performances and a Tujia bonfire party. The surrounding area offers a wide variety of local snacks and street food for a perfect evening experience.
