Longjing Tea Village is located in the southwest of West Lake Scenic Area. It is surrounded by hills by four sides. It is very famous for producing Longjing tea. There are nearly 800 mu of tea plantation on the surrounding mountains. In the northwest of the village, there are Beigao Peak, Lion Peak and Tianzhu Peak, forming a natural barrier that blocks the invasion of northwest cold wind. In the south is Jiuxi Stream. The ventilation geographical conditions provide a unique advantage for the growth of Longjing tea.
Longjing Tea Village is known as producing the best Longjing tea in China. Most of the tea trees at Longjing Tea Village are over 30 years, 18 of them are imperial tea trees, which was praised by Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty. The tea leaves of the 18 imperial tea trees are only for royal family. And the prices of them are really high now.
Longjing Tea Village offers trekking experiences, and it is recommended you visit the Longjing Tea Village at morning or in the afternoon because it will be hot during noon. At the top of the Longjing Tea Village, you can have a panoramic view of the surrounding landscapes including the West Lake. Longjing Tea Village is also beautiful in rainy days while the mountains and tea garden are surrounded by the mists.
Taxi: You can take taxi to the Longjing Tea Village directly from city center of Hangzhou, which is very convenient.
Bus: Take 1314 Bus to Maojiabu Station(茅家埠站), transfer 87 Bus or 27 Bus to Longjing Tea House Station(龙井茶室站), then walk to Longjing Tea Village.

Meijiawu Tea Culture Village is located in west side of Hangzhou West Lake. This village belongs to a protected area and one of the main origins of West Lake Longjing tea, but also a suburban natural farm villages with tea culture and leisure tourism area in Hangzhou. It is surrounded by around peaks and tea plantations. Dasan peaks. Meijiawu Longjing, Shifeng, Longjing, Yunqi, Hupao are five famous categories of West Lake Longjing tea, with gind green color, fragrant smell, pure taste and nice shape.
There are many small sites to visit around the village, such as, Premier Zhou Enlai Memorial Hall, Qianlong Ruins, ancient trees, tea plantation, old wells, ancient bridges, tea performance, etc. Many local people come here to drink tea every day. And tea selling becomes a necessary part of this place.

At Longwu Tea Village, you can see the whole process of tea picking and hand-frying of the tea leaves. And you can also experience tea picking and tea making by yourselves. You can stroll around or trek on the terraces of the tea trees and enjoy the rural views of the tea villages in Hangzhou. The best time to visit Longwu Tea Village in Hangzhou is April to October, when the tea village offers lush and green landscapes.
