Brief Introduction

Located in the mainland hinterland, Zhangye is a typical temperate continental arid climate with long hours of sunshine, plenty of light and heat resources, warm in summer and cold in winter, four distinctive seasons. The average annual rainfall here is only about 130 mm, and the average temperature is about 7 . The best time of the year is from June to September, when the rainfall is relatively concentrated. During this period, it is moist and cool that makes people feel more comfortable during the journey.

The best time of the year is from June to September, when the rainfall is relatively concentrated. During this period, it is moist and cool that makes people feel more comfortable during the journey.
 
Try to Avoid domestic travel seasons
Try to plan your Zhangye tour to avoid the peak holidays. Because they are popular with Chinese tourists, Zhangye attractions become more crowded in these periods.
 
The most crowded seasons in China are Chinese Spring Festival (usually in late Jan or early Feb.), International Labor Day (May 01 to 03) and National Day (Oct 01-07). Spring Festival and the National Day golden week are the most crowded time for travelling.
