Here you can see many species of cherry blossoms, with more than 600 cherry trees. It’s free to enter, enjoy your time there.


During the flowering season, Qinglong Temple will be flooded with Chinese tourists. You can also see cherry blossoms in Xi’an Jiaotong University, if you want to avoid the crowds. Even though there are not as many cherry trees as in Qinglong Temple, views in the campus are gorgeous.
 

Peach Blossoms

Expect for cherry blossoms, peach trees are in their full blossoms during spring. Actually, peach tree is originated in China, appreciating peach blossoms is a part of Chinese culture. Chinese people believe that peach blossoms will bring them good fortune, especially good luck in love. Wangmang Peach Garden and Fanchuan Taohua Village will be great places to appreciate peach blossoms.
 

Magnolias

Magnolias

In ancient China, magnolias were normally planted in front of pavilions, elegantly showing a scholarly atmosphere. The shape of magnolia flower looks similar to lotus, and the petals will spread to the four directions in their full blossoms. Recommended flower-watching places are Northwest University and Shaanxi Normal University.


If you have plenty of time, you can consider Xiaoshao Village, which is located in Chang’an District. Even though it’s a bit far from the city center, you can see a stretch of magnolia trees covering by beautiful blossoms.
