Best time to visit Shenyang is April to October, especially Spring from April to June. At these months, you can see the most beautiful side of this city.
Shenyang has a temperate semi-humid continental climate, influenced by the monsoon, with four distinct seasons. The temperature in July is the highest with the annual maximum monthly average temperature of about 24 ℃; January is the coldest month with the monthly average temperature of about -8.5℃. Spring and fall in Shenyang is very short and the temperature changes greatly between day and night. The rainy season concentrates mainly in the spring and summer.

This palace is reputed as the second most well-preserved imperial palace in China, following the first one Forbidden City in Beijing. Its distinctive Manchu features made it have totally different styles with the Beijing Imperial Palace.
Shenyang is hot in the day but cool at night in summer. There are a lot of things to explore at this season.
► Shenyang Botanical Garden is good choice to visit. The garden covers an area of 189 hectares. In the garden, chains of mountains, poppling lake water, emerald green pine and fir tree, clusters of flowers, and strips of waterfalls can all be founded. There are over 1,700 kinds of plants including rare plants and threatened plants from northeast, northwest, and north part of China as well as Inner Mongolia,
►Strange Slope Scenic Area---this place is famous for its strange slope. This slope is in an 80 meters length and 15 meter width. It was discovered in April 1990.

►Beiling Park (Zhaoling Tomb) --- the largest park in Shenyang City. The park has an area of 3,300,000m², and contains many historic buildings, pine trees and lakes.
►Marshal Zhang’s Mansion---typical Chinese courtyard has 74 rooms totally. Shengyang Marshal Zhang’s Mansion is the largest and perfectly preserved former residence of celebrities in modern times and is reputed to be the first former residence of celebrities in Northeast China.
It is quite cold in winter in this city. Winter temperature often tends to drop below zero and records minus temperatures. Winter in Shenyang is a little cold, make sure to take enough thick clothes with you.
►Visitors can go skiing Qipan Mountain Skiing Spot. This place is an ideal destination for skiing in this city. Many visitors prefer to have fun here and enjoy skiing and playing snow with companions. Most ski lovers like to practice at this resort.
►If condition permit, visitor may also have a chance to see ice lanterns made by the local artists. But it mostly depends on the weather there.
► Taking a bath in hot spring is also a good choice in such a cold time, especially for those who can not stand the cold. It will be very comfortable after having the bath.
