Ngari's spring begins in May, when solidified earth start to show its life. It opens to meet the lives to come. The lovely bar-headed geese, black-necked cranes, cranes and brown-headed gulls and other birds frolic in the large and small crystal-clear lakes Tamarisk flowers, gentian flower, snow lotus all blossom, so beautiful, colorful and bright eye-catching.
The extreme maximum temperature is 21 degrees in summer. The day and night temperature difference is quite large, but annual temperature difference is small at the area with an altitude of 5,000 meters. In August, the daytime temperature is above 10℃, while at night the temperature dropps to 0 ℃.
Ngari has a long and cold winter. Some people say that Ngari was "life zone", but brave Ngari people are living here like lotus flowers. Their enacious, honest, unselfish, indomitable spirit are passed down from generation to generation. Shiquanhe Town's annual average temperature is less than 0℃, the lowest temperature here in winter is -41℃.
