We were really fortunate to have engaged Top China Travel as our travel organiser . Our entire 10 day trip went through without a hitch. Rebecca had been our correspondent from the very beginning, answering all our queries. Our travel guide at Beijing was Eric , (a most amiable , punctual and enterprising person ) who arranged all our sightseeing tours in the most convenient way. He always tried to satisfy our curiosities regarding the places or Chinese way of living. He never seemed to tire of our endless questions about anything and everything we saw. We visited the summer palace , temple of heaven , Great Wall of China , water cube and bird's nest stadium in our three days stay at Beijing. We learnt about Chinese culture , some ancient stories about the emperor, concubine etc. Also a funny story about the famous dish - Peking roast duck. Seeing the huge area of temple of heaven and summer palace we thought we won't be able to cover it, but thanks to Eric - our guide, it was a smooth and enjoyable tour. We didn't feel exhausted at all. We got enough time at the Great Wall - a wonderful structure, climbed about 1000 steps and come down through the toboggan which was thrilling. We loved the Chinese which our tour guide had planned. All in all it was leisurely and fun. Thanks again for planning such a wonderful trip

My wife and I booked a private tour with Top China Travel for 6 days , From the outset the help we got from TCT was first class and Joyce our representative in China answered all our questions and tailored the tour accordingly . On arrival at Beijing airport the guide Venus and driver Mr Howe were there to meet us and take us to our very comfortable hotel which TCT had arranged. The second day we visited the Great Wall which was fantastic. Neil the guide for this trip was knowledgeable and very informative and later in the day we wandered around the beautiful Summer Palace at leisure. The Forbidden City with Venus our lovely guide was incredible as was meeting local people in the Hutong and market. A trip to Xi An to see the Terracotta Warriers taking the bullet train from Beijing was incredible travelling at 306 kilometres an hour. Comfortable and spotless taking just 4hr 20min to cover 1,200 Kms . Again when we arrived in Xi An station our guide Vincy and the driver Mr Toa were there to meet us and take us to our hotel. The next morning our car driver and guide took us to the Buddhist Pagoda in Xi An the first to be built in China, Very Interesting and so peaceful. The terracotta warriors were incredible, a massive site with five pits. We cannot thank Top China Tours enough for helping us to have an experience of a life time and we recommend them unreservedly. I am so glad that I did the day tour. The scenery was stunning. I stay on the top deck most of the time during the cruise. I meal wasn't that great. I was very excited to get to see the picture on the 20 yuan in real life.

We used Top China Tour for a recent trip which included Beijing, Xian, and Shanghai. This was a small group with four to six members. Top China travel did an excellent job. The hotels were all in excellent locations and the service was top notch. The tour guides all spoke very good English and knew the history of all the many places we visited. I always felt very comfortable wherever we went. Everything was organized nicely. I highly recommend Top China Travel as they provided us with a very memorable trip!

When planning our China trip we read many trip advisor reviews and noticed Janet Chan’s name came up a number of times so we asked for her to arrange our journey across this fascinating land. What a great choice we made, she listened and responded to our questions and arranged all our trip that went off without any problems. We didn’t want shopping nor group travel and she responded brilliantly. Two days hiking on the wall with fabulous guide Miko, in fact all our guides and drivers were just excellent. High speed train meant we saw lots of China’s varied countryside and went to some out of the way places. We can only say great things about TCT and especially Janet Chan if you are planning a trip. Thank you Janet for an exciting and memorable trip! Chris n Jools Winstanley

Thanks Top China Travel, Vicky Lu, for coordinating and assisting us in the process of our trip to China and Hong Kong. We enjoyed and learned a lot. The guides, Serena in Beijing, Mason in Xi'an, Meli in Shanghai and Bill in Hong Kong, were very friendly and enthusiastic. Now we have a new vision of China and its people. Thank you again.

we are a family from UAE who have hired Top China Travel in 2012 then hired them again in 2012 to arrange my brother's honeymoon trip in China. then hired them again in 2017 to go to Tibet. and now we are looking to hire them again for another trip my dad and sister are planning to do to discover some other parts of china. our agent is Janet, a sweet and a polite lady who wouldn't say no to any request and wouldn't mind revising the itinerary so many times just to meet your requirements. I have traveled to more than 70 countries and I was never this happy with my tour planner as much as I did wiith Top China travel.

We worked with Janet who created the most incredible 10 day trip to China. We were so happy she recommended Yellow Mountain (one of the biggest highlights of the trip.) Not only was the itinerary perfect, but we have the most amazing, knowledgable and friendly tour guides. We loved Olivia in Beijing and April in Huangshan. I am glad we decided to do private tour. I don't think we would have been able to appreciate and enjoy all of the cities and sites we saw if we were in a group. The food was incredible, easy transition from city to city with the help of the tour guides. This trip exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Janet and Top China Travel!

I highly recommend Top China Travel (TCT) in particular Janet Chan for her excellent professional services in organising our recent tour in China. My wife and I did not want a group tour because we wanted greater flexibility so Janet put together a tour that took in all the major sight seeing cities. It was very well organised, the accommodation was great e.g. excellent locations, English speaking and delicious buffet breakfasts and close to all the major sights that will leave us with lasting memories. Her choice of guides was very good, they also spoke excellent English and had good personalities and were all very knowledgeable, the drivers were also very good and drove safely. In summary we believe that TCT provided a quality value added service and would recommend TCT to anyone looking for a reliable Chinese agency for organising their travels. Janet Chan of TCT organized a fantastic trip that started at the Dongxi border crossing with Vietnam into Nanning, the Chenyang Bridge with the Dong minority people. Then we went on to the Longji Rice Terraces with the Ping An Zhuang minority. Overall these first few days were fantastic from both a tour and educational perspective. Following these stops, we went to Yangshuo, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong. All the travel went flawlessly and the accommodations were great!

The best part of our time in Guangxi province was the excellent guide- Wendy! If you ever have a chance to request a guide- please ask for Wendy! Guides make a big difference in how you learn and appreciate the travel. I have a LOT of experience with different guides- I lead study abroad trips every year. Wendy is informative, energetic, great with the students, flexible, and a joy to work with. We were able to request Wendy as our guide, whom we had two years before on our previous study abroad trip.

Overall, our experience with TCT, Janet Chan, and Wendy Zhang was exemplary.

I did this tour with my wife and our adult son in early February - in fact it was Chinese New Year's eve day. We enjoyed it. We did the three star version and were impressed with how easy the guide on the tour bus made it for us. She was attentive and her English was great. The three star boats are remarkably comfortable. We were expecting wooden benches, but the cabin was carpeted, well appointed, and very comfortable. We spent much of the trip on the deck looking at the scenery of the Karst Mountain Formations, which was pretty incredible. At the end of the trip, our guide offered another smaller river cruise that included a cave, but we chose to go off on our own. We rented scooters and had fund going out to see the huge Banyan tree outside of town. Our guide had given us clear instructions on how to find the hotel where the bus picked us up on time for a drive of a couple of hours back to Guilin.

If you ever go to Beijing try to have Likun Sun or Li as we called him, as your guide. He is very professional, very knowledgable and also good fun. His English is very good, so no communication problems, and he goes out of his way to make sure you see and do everything you want to. We went to Gubei Water Village, to Simatai Great Wall and on to Chengde, where we visited the Imperial Summer Resort. Li suggested we took the shuttle bus which took us around the huge grounds with several photo stops with fantastic views. An excellent suggestion as there was no way you could have seen so much on foot. Then we visited the Putuo Zongcheng Temple and Quingchui Mountain. Li was able to tell us all about the history of the temple, explaining its origins. From there we drove to Shanhaiguan Area to see the First Pass Under Heaven, Great Wall Museum and where the Great Wall ends/starts in the sea. Again Li was a fount of information. But the thing we really appreciated was being able to find out so much about not only Chinese culture and history but Li told us about everyday life. Unlike many other guides Li had a professional career which involved travel abroad, and when he was forcibly retired at 60 he retrained to become a guide. His previous experience gives him a perspective and depth of experience you don't get with younger guides. He tells you about life in China past and present from personal experience. And best of all he is so very enthusiastic about being your guide, for example, finding out what you like to eat and making sure you get it!

I traveled Zhangjiajie with my wife. After finding TCT, I customized my travel with TCT. Vicky in TCT offered me a right plan that I was looking for. Travel guide, Victor was sincerely guided us and responded to our on-site requests. I left my earrings in the hotel and contacted Victor for it. With his help, Hotel sent it to me with one-day shipping and I received it safely. This made my travel more enjoyable with one more great memory. Zhangjiajie is must see place. I still remember breath-taking view. With kind people, it is more shiny.
