In Chinese the word “Yulong” means “meeting a dragon”. Local legend has it that a dragon from the East Sea strolled along the river and, being deeply impressed by the landscape, he decided to stay there forever. From then on, the villagers saw the dragon several times, and hence named the River Yulong. The Yulong River is prone to sudden flooding which is one of the reasons why there are not more places to stay close by. This condition makes Yulong River as an ideal place for people to experience rafting.

The meandering river is lined by green bamboo and rolling hills. Local people use bamboo rafts as daily transportation up and down the river between their houses, markets, and rice paddies before. Sitting on the reclining chair on the raft, you can enjoy an all-around view of the river and hills.

Itinerary: Be picked up at hotel lobby in the morning, then chef or the assistant will show you around the local market to learn about the ingredients that we use in our dishes. Yangshuo West Street, located in the center of Yangshuo ancient town, is about 8 meters wide and nearly 800 meters long. It starts from Binjiang Road in the east and Pantao Road in the west, and connects the Xianqian Street and Chengzhong Road in the middle. Xianggongshan Mountain is one of the best places to view the scenery of the landscapes alongside the Li River. Located 57 kilometers from Guilin downtown and 28 kilometers from Yangshuo, Xianggongshan Mountain is one of the most popular destinations on Yangshuo. Photography lovers will come here to catch the wonderful sunrise, sunset, lights and the panoramic view of the mountains and rivers of Yangshuo.
Moon Mountain is one of the landmarks in the mountains of Yangshuo, located at the edge of Fenglou Village, Gaotian Town, Yangshuo County. There is a natural stone arch on the mountain, which looks like the bright moon hanging high in the sky from a distance, hence the name.
You can admire the Moon Hill in the distance or climb the Moon Hill to have a panoramic view of Yangshuo. You can climb the over 800 steps to get to the viewing platform of the Moon Hill. Here you can have a panoramic view of the villages, fields and mountains of Yangshuo.
Ruyi Peak is the first mountain-top natural park in Yangshuo, which is composed of natural landscapes such as Yuanbao Peak, Ruyi Peak, Necklace Peak, Caixi Valley and Baihua Valley, as well as creative landscapes such as ropeway, Ruyi viewing platform, Ruyi Cable Bridge, glass bridge and forest promenade.
Take the sightseeing cableway, you can see the beautiful landscape of rolling mountains of karst landform of Yangshuo. You can get the excitement and trilling experiences by walking on the glass bridge and crossing the high rope bridge hanging in the high altitude. Climb to the top of Ruyi Peak, you can pray for yourself, your families and your lover.
