Shenzhen Baoan International Airport

Shenzhen Baoan International Airport was officially opened to traffic in 1991. In 1993, it became an international airport. It is a modern airport with land, sea and air transport function. It is one of top hundred airports in the world, one of five major airports in China and one of the four major airports in Guangdong. As the fifth largest airport in mainland China, Shenzhen Baoan International Airport currently opens 107 domestic and international routes. It can reach more than 80 domestic and international cities and regions, is an important air base in China Pearl River Delta region.

It is one of the three largest airport hubs serving southern China, alongside Hong Kong International Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. The airport also has direct ferry routes to Hong Kong International Airport, where passengers can transit without going through immigration and custom checks, akin to transit between two flights.

On November 28, 2013, the Shenzhen Airport officially opened the new terminal T3, the former No. A, B Terminal and the International Terminal was disable for a period.
