Kunming Changshui International Airport
(IATA: KMG, ICAO: ZPPP) is the primary airport serving Kunming
, the capital of Yunnan Province, China. The airport is located 24.5 km northeast of the city center in a graded mountainous area about 2,100 m (6,900 ft) above sea level.
By Airport Shuttle Bus
There are four airport express bus routes transferring between different sites in downtown and the airport. You should check the bus route with staff in the airport before you get aboard. It departs every 15 minutes from 9:00 am to 11:30 pm.
One can also take bus 919 A, 919 B, 919 C and 919 D lines to the busy area of the city.
The airport is the terminus of Line 6 of the Kunming Metro, which opened on the same day as the airport. It runs between 6:00 am to 6:10 pm every day. And it takes about 25 minutes and costs 6 yuan for one way.
Taxi is the most convenient way from the airport to the city center. It costs more than 100 yuan.
