Hehu New Residence, also known as Longgang Museum of Hakka Culture and Hakka Enclosed Residence, is one of the most famous ancient Hakka villages in Shenzhen. It is the existing largest Hakka Enclosed House Complex in China, best-preserved and most representative enclosed house in Shenzhen. Hehu New Residence combines the architecture style of Hakka enclosed houses in Fujian Province, Jiangxi Province and Guangdong Province. It is a typical representative of castle-style enclosed houses in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and reflects the blending of Hakka culture and Guangfu culture. It is made up of the inner and outer enclosures, and the layout is in picturesque disorder. It is known as the living fossil of Hakka culture.

Gate of Hehu New Residence

There is a big stone plaque in the middle of the gate of the Hehu New Residence, engraved with Hehu New Residence and the completion time of it. In 1817, the construction of Hehu New Residence was completed, which has a history of over 200 years.

Pool

The pool in Hehu New Residence is semicircular, which is typical of Hakka enclosed houses.
