Happy Valley of Shenzhen is a national AAAAA level scenic spot in China, covering an area of 350,000 square meters. It cost a total investment of 2 billion yuan. It is a modern theme park in China. Opened on 1 May 2002, it is the first of the Happy Valley theme park chain. The whole garden is divided into nine themed areas: the Spanish Square, Magic Castle, Adventure Mountain, Happy Hour, Gold-mining Town, Shangri-la Snow, Hurricane Bay, Sunshine Coast, as well as the unique Mayan water park. It introduced unique items from the United States, the Netherlands, Germany and other countries, such as the world's highest drop of "Ji Liu Yong Jin" Asia's tallest roller coaster "Global Extreme ejection roller coaster", China's first suspended roller coaster, "Snow Dragon", China's first roadway "Mine Car", etc. When night falls, elegant large magic show "Magic Track Phantom" will give visitors an endless surprise and extraordinary enjoyment. 1. Adventure Hill

Snow Eagle (雪域雄鹰)

Status: Closed since an accident in 2023
This extreme launch coaster, themed around the Tibetan Plateau’s snow-capped mountains, was once capable of accelerating from 0 to 135 km/h in 2 seconds. Riders sat in an "eagle-shaped" car, experiencing steep drops, sharp turns, and inverted loops along an 887 - meter track. The minimum height requirement was 1.4 meters, and it was not suitable for those with heart conditions, high blood pressure, or back/neck injuries. Due to a collision incident in 2023, the ride has been closed for safety reasons, and the park is yet to announce its reopening schedule.

Set in a 19th - century American gold mine, the mine train reaches speeds of 45 km/h. It winds through dark tunnels with wooden supports and flickering lanterns. Minimum height is 1.1 meters, and children under 1.2 meters need adult assistance to board.

2. Gold Mine Town
Wing Coaster (环翼飞车)

A hanging rollercoaster themed after a wild west stagecoach robbery. The 850 - meter track includes two 360° inversions and a 40 - meter drop. Riders are suspended below the track. Minimum height is 1.35 meters, and maximum weight is 110 kg per rider. Long - haired riders must tie their hair back.

Gold Mine Rafting (金矿漂流)

A tropical beach - themed pool with artificial waves up to 1.2 meters tall. It has a sandy beach area and a shallow section for toddlers. Swimwear is mandatory, and children under 1.2 meters must be supervised by an adult.

4. Maya Water Park (Open June - October)
Viracocha’s Revenge (万神滑板)
Opening Hours: 14:00 - 21:00 (during operating months).
Named after the Inca god, riders lie on foam mats and slide down an 18 - meter tall slide into a large funnel. Minimum height is 1.4 meters, and maximum weight is 90 kg per rider. Remove all jewelry before riding.

Rainbow Slide (彩虹赛道)
Opening Hours: 14:00 - 21:00 (during operating months).
A set of 6 parallel slides for friendly races. Each slide is 12 meters tall and 70 meters long. Minimum height is 1.2 meters. Riders must keep legs straight and arms crossed over the chest.

Maya Temple Pool (玛雅神庙泳池)

A large pool surrounded by a fake Maya temple, with a lazy river, waterfalls, and small slides for kids. Swimwear is required, and life jackets are available for free. Diving is not allowed as the pool is mostly 1.2 meters deep.

5. Magic Castle
Double - Decker Carousel (双层旋转木马)

A fairy - tale - themed carousel with two levels of hand - painted horses, carriages, and unicorns. It plays classical music and is beautifully lit at night. There are no height restrictions, but children under 1.1 meters must ride with an adult on the lower level.

3D Cinema: Dinosaur Crisis (3D 影院：恐龙危机)
Showtimes: Every 30 minutes (check the app for exact times).
A 15 - minute 3D movie where viewers help scientists escape dinosaurs. The theater has special effects like air blasts and seat vibrations. There are no age restrictions, but very young children may find the loud roars scary.

Toy Soldier Shooting Gallery (玩具士兵射击场)

An outdoor shooting game for kids, where they use soft foam guns to shoot at life - sized toy soldiers. It’s suitable for children ages 3 - 12, and adults can assist younger kids. Hitting a special target may earn a small prize.

How to get there？

By Subway
Shenzhen Metro lines 1, 2, and 8 can take you to Window of the World Station. Exit from Exit A, and it's a 3 - minute walk to the park. Line 1 operates from 6:30 - 23:30 at Window of the World Station, and Line 2 from 6:30 - 23:00.

By Car
If you're driving, navigate to "Happy Valley Parking". There is ample parking space, but it's advisable to arrive early, especially on weekends and holidays, as parking lots can fill up quickly. Parking fees may apply.

Safety Precautions on Rides

Before getting on any ride, carefully read the passenger instructions, which are usually posted at the entrance or in the queue area. General Park Rules
In general, outside food and drinks are not allowed in the park. However, there are many dining options available inside, although prices may be higher than outside.

Keep the park clean by disposing of trash in the designated bins. Littering not only spoils the environment but may also cause safety hazards.

If you're visiting with children, make sure to keep them within sight at all times. Some attractions have specific age or height requirements, and children may need adult supervision to ride.
