Normally April-May & Sep-Oct will be peak season and the tour rate will be at the higher end, so if you are on a budget and travel time is flexible, then it will be better to avoid that period.
Because Lijiang is a hot travel destination, the hotel rates in autumn from Sep to Nov are too much higher than the shoulder and low seasons especially during the first week of October (the first week of October is National Day Vacation). Also, the comfortable days offer a natural condition to sightseeing in everywhere. Considering the fairly wide difference in day-and-night temperatures in spring and winter; the months from Apr to Oct are the most favorable seasons for coming here.
