Best Places to Visit in China in November

Septmeber and October are the best months to travel in China. But it may be a little crowded during that period of time. Huangshan (Anhui)

Mount Huangshan is one of China's ten best-known scenic spots. It is characterized by the four wonders, namely, odd-shaped pines, grotesque rock formation, seas of clouds and crystal-clear hot springs. If you don't visit Mount Huangshan in autumn, you will never know what is the most beautiful season in Mount Huangshan. From late October to early November it belongs to the end of autumn with red maple leaves spreading over the whole mountain which looks like the buring flames.  If you come in late November, you may have a chance to see the white snow-coverd mountain.
 

The temperature of Huangshan in autumn is quite cool so you need long woolen pants or sweat pants, grab a pullover thick sweater, and you have better take eiderdown outerwear, if not, the standard rooms (expensive) in the mountain are provided free of charge eiderdown outerwear, cotton-padded overcoat; cheap hotels can rent either. It’s best to wear perspire underwear, without it you need to prepare some underwear for change. And you must bring wind-proof hat, gloves are also neccessary, and it is helpful to bring cane when climb the hill.

Fragrant Hills (Beijing)

The Fragrant Hills is a public park at the foot of the Western Mountains in the Haidian District, in the northwestern part of Beijing, China. It consists of a natural pine-cypress forest, hills with maple trees, smoke trees and persimmon trees, as well as landscaped areas with traditional architecture and cultural relics. The name derives from the park's highest peak - Xianglu Feng, a hill with two large stones resembling incense burners at the top.

Fragrant Hills Park is recognized as one of the major tourist attractions in Beijing. When autumn arrives, the natural scenery in the park turns spectacular, with fiery red smoke tree leaves covering the mountain side. Every year, thousands of tourists ride the cable cars through the park to see the hills in autumn colors. The grand opening ceremony of the annual Red Leaf Festival is held in Fragrant Hills Park every year.

One of the six ancient capitals in China, Luoyang is situated in central China, encircled by Mangling Mountain in the north and Songshan Mountain in the south. Luoyang, in the central plain, lies in the North Temperate Zone, having a continental climate with four distinct seasons. The average annual temperature is 14.2 degrees Celsius with sufficient rainfall, mainly concentrated in June, July and August, with an annual average of 546 mm.

Luoyang lies in the west part of Henan. It belongs to the North Temperate Zone and has a continental climate. Autumn has the most comfortable weather conditions and is the best time to visit. High season prices do apply however, and it is more crowded. Autumn is almost sunny with long sunlight. Its average temperature is about 12.3-14.9. The annual Peony Festival is held here in April. Visitors can enjoy a great variety of beautiful peony flowers so April is also a good time to visit if you want to see.
