Hi, if a solo traveler wanted to maximize their time on Mt Huangshan without paying the extreme prices for a hotel on top of the mountain how could a traveler do that? How do you get around Yellow Mountain over several days? Do you have to pay entrance fees each time?

If you don't want to stay at a hotel on the top of the mountain, there are two choices:
1. The cheapest way might be stay at the hotel in the downtown of Huangshan city, where is 59.2 kilometers away from Mt.Huangshan Scenic Spot. But this way might be too rush and tight.
2. You can stay at the hotel at the foot of Mt.Huangshan, that is Tangkou Town. But you have to also pay the entrance fee daily plu the cable car from the foot of mountain to the top.

From what I mentioned above, I suggest you have better to stay at the top of mountain if you can not visit all attractions in Huangshan in a day, and if you live in the top of mountain, the second day you can see beautiful sunrise which is really amazing.
