Hi! I would like to travel from Dali, Yunnan to Laos, taking local buses. I want to take my time and take several stops along the way. Which route (or routes) would you recommend?

You can take long distance bus at the southern passenger terminal of Kunming to Luang Prabang, a city in northern Laos. The bus departs at 18:30 every day, which will travel for 24 hours.

You can also take bus from Xishuangbanna to Luang Prabang.
