Itinerary: Beijing-Xian-Chengdu-Guilin-Hangzhou-Shanghai
We found TCT online and, after being contacted by TCT's Joyce Tang, we were in excellent hands as she created a private, 13-day, 7-city (Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Guilin, Yangshuo, Hangzhou, Shanghai) tour for us, meeting nearly all of our interests (hiking, biking, cooking class, street food dinner, plus other hands-on, interactive experiences), and replying, within no more than two days, to our emails. Except for two unfortunate glitches (Hangzhou guide was at wrong airport terminal for our midnight-arrival flight, and Shanghai guide was late for our train arrival), everything was spot on: planning, reservations and pre-trip paperwork was handled efficiently (except maybe for information that was needed for our travel visas), nearly all of the guides were friendly, knowledgeable, dependableand spoke good enough English, hotels and meals were great, in-city transportation was good, and we had a FANTASTIC trip! The only negative I can say here is that, although we reached out to TCT for post-trip information two times, they did not reply back.
