Tour Details

In the morning, our English speaking guide pick you up from hotel (in the downtown of Guilin) at about 08:30 and set off for Longsheng. Drive up and down along the mountainous road and it will takes about 2 hours to reach the entrance of Longji Terraces Scenic Area. Keep driving for less than 30 minutes, we will arrive at the foot for Ping An Zhuang Village, which is located on a hillside.  There are about 170 families in Ping An Village with more than 700 people. All of these people have the same family name "Liao".


Longji Rice Terraces

A local Chinese lunch is arranged in Ping An Village, with the featured local food, such as bamboo rice, chicken, ect.It tastes with the light fragrace of bamboo, quite different from which we eat in the downtown.

After a short break, it is your exciting time to explore the Zhuang Village as well as the surrounding rice terraces. There are two attractive sites in Pingan Village called "Moon with Seven Stars" and "Nine Dragons and five Tigers" separately. In the village, you will see the local women in national costume doing needlework under the roof, kids running and playing and locals working in the rice paddies.


Local Food and Villager

More than 700 years, the brave and smart local residents developed and built the paddies into hillsides surrounding their villages. With a such a long history, the area is still being used for growing premium quality rice by Yao and Zhuang villagers. The rice terraces are built into the hillsides and look like great steps cut into the slopes as they wind around the mountainsides, which becomes a great natural view for tourists from all over the world.

In the late afternoon, we will drive back to Guilin, but have a stop at Yao Village enroute. The women in this village are all in red national custome, with long hair set on their head. In the village, you will have chance to watch Long Hair Dance Show performed by the locals.

Keep driving back to Guilin. You will be drop off at hotel around 17:00-17:30.
