Mount Wuyi is a very popular scenic area. It is located in the south of Wuyishan City, in northern Fujian Province, China. Traveling from Xiamen to Mt Wuyi is quite convenient, by air or train.
There are about 25 High-speed trains running between Xiamen and Wuyishan every day. The first train departs at 07:01 and the last train departs at 18:46 every day. The frequency is about 15 minutes. The duration of this trip is around 3 hours. And the train fare ranges from 188 to 580 yuan depending on what standard seats you choose.
After you get to Wuyishan Railway Station, you can take Bus 6 to get to Mt. Wuyi Scenic Area nearby the station. You need to find it carefully. Or you also can take a taxi to reach there, it would not cost too much.

How to get there: it can be reached by Bus 6, 7, 9, 33, 37, 43, 44, 48, 80, 132, 301, 854, etc.
There are 6 flights traveling between the two cities every day. Three of those flights from take off from Xiament to Wuyishan City at 07:15 arrive at 08:30; the other three take off at 19:45 and arrive at 20:50. The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. ► It takes at least 3days/2 nights for Mt Wuyi tour from Xiamen, including the arrival date and departure date.
► There are two entrances of Mt.Wuyi: South Entrance and North Entrance. You can buy tickets at both entrances. Da Hong Pao and Water Curtain Cave are located in the north parts and the rest highlights of Mt Wuyi are sited in the south part. Main highlights in Mt.Wuyi includes Nine-bend river, Da Hong Pao, Heavenly Tour Peak, Horse Head Rock, Tiger Roaring Rock, etc.
► Bus No. 6 will get you everywhere around Mt. Wuyi. From the station to the hotel, to the north and South entrances of the Wuyishan reserve. From the station you have to walk into the main street that you look into when you are in front of the station, until you hit a T-crossing.
