Urumqi Railway Station

Urumqi Railway Station, originally named Urumqi South Railway Station, was operated since Dec. 3, 1962. It is located at the foot of Yamalike Mountain at the Saybagh District of Urumqi, the provincial capital of XinjiangUgyur Autonomous Region. It is the second railway station along the Eurasian Continental Bridge.

 

The area of the new building of passengers transport is 26185 square meters. Including inbound, outbound channel, ticket office, general waiting room, soft seat waiting room, VIP waiting room, it can accommodate 7000 passengers. The waiting hall is bright and spacious with advanced facilities. In terms of hardware addition of building automation subsystems, it has security monitoring systems, fire alarm and fire linkage subsystem, lighting Automatic lighting systems. It also has management information system, electronic ticketing system, three grades of drugs inspection systems, cable TV cabling subsystem, passenger escalators, large color screen display, with international standards to guide reveals the system, multi-passenger automatic query terminals, high levels of automated broadcasting system and telephone inquiry system, computer network channel, central air conditioning and so on.
