How to Get to Luzhi Water Town from Suzhou

Luzhi Water Town (甪直水乡) is located in the Wuzhong District, 18 km east of downtown Suzhou in Jiangsu Province and about 58 kilometers west of Suzhou. Luzhi was famed to be the Venice of the East for its beautiful waterways and ancient bridges, some of the bridges dated back to the Song Dynasty. A walk in the ancient town Luzhi is said to be a walk into history frozen in time, tranquil and serene.

How to Get to Luzhi Water Town from Suzhou

By bus

Visitors can take Bus No.518 in the square of Suzhou Railway Station to get directly to Luzhi Water Town. Or you can take a tourist coach with air-condition to go to Luzhi Water Town in front of Suzhou Railway Station. The tourist coach departs every 40 minutes from 6:20 a.m. to 5:20 p.m. every day. But the price is more expensive than taking the Bus No.518.

You may take bus No. 521, 523 52, 18 or 563 in the downtown Suzhou and get off at Luzhiguzhen Station. The journey takes about 1 hour.

By taxi

Luzhi is 18 km away in the east of downtown Suzhou. So you can take a taxi to get there, but the price is a little expensive compared with taking a bus.
