► Location: Nanxun Ancient Town is located at No. 51, Renrui Road, Nanxun District, Huzhou. It is 96 km from Hangzhou and 120 km from Shanghai.
► Get to Nanxun Ancient Town from Hangzhou
By taxi. It takes about 1.5 hours and costs about 400 yuan.
By train. Tourists could take train from Hangzhou East Railway Station to Huzhou Railway Station (21 min, 32.5 yuan for a second seat), then take No. 101 public bus to Nanxun Ancient Town( 2 yuan).
By bus. Take bus at Hangzhou North Bus Station, which will you bring to Nanxun Ancient Town (40 yuan).
► Get to Nanxun Ancient Town from Shanghai
By train. Take train from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to Huzhou Railway Station (2 hours, 110 yuan for a second class seat), and take No. 101 public bus to Nanxun Ancient Town.
Trains are 3 times a day, and the departure time is 07:27 AM, 11:34 AM, and 6:18 PM.
Nanxun Ancient Town is located at the junction of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, it is an ancient town with a history over 750 years, and was a famous silk town at the Ming and Qing Dynasties where you could visit the silk museum. Due to international trade of silk in the past times, you could see those buildings in a combination style of Chinese and Western architecture.
Nanxun Ancient Town Scenic Area covers an area of 2.18 square kilometers, to Yiyuan Garden in the east, to Yong'an street in the west, Jiaye Library and Little Lotus Villa in the south, and Baijianlou Buildings in the north. Nanxun Ancient Town Scenic Area is divided into three parts. The first part has attractions like the Former Residence of Zhang Shiming and the Former Residence of the Liu’s in Spanish Style. The second part is composed of Little Lotus Villa, Jiaye Library and other scenic spots. The third part consists of Dongdajie, the Former Residence of Zhangjingjiang and Baijianlou Buildings.

The whole mansion is composed of typical traditional buildings in the south of the Yangtze River and European architecture style in the French Renaissance and it has 4 outstanding features: exquisite brick carving, wood carving, stone carving and glass carving.
► The Former Residence of the Liu in Spanish Style. This residence was built by Liu Ansheng, grandson of Liu Yong who was also one of the top 4 richest persons in China at that time, and it is also called “the Red House” due to its exterior color. You could also see the combination style of Chinese and western architecture, with the western style in the exterior and the Chinese style in the interior design and decoration.
► Baijianlou Buildings. It refers to one hundred residential buildings at the two sides of Baijianlou River, 400 meters long from Dongdiao Bridge to Zhazhuang Bridge. Baijianlou Buildings were built by Dong Fen, a native of Nanxun in the Ming Dynasty.
► Jili Huzhou Silk Museum. The museum has 5 display halls, and tourists could know much about Huzhou silk by reading historical materials and watching videos, and see tools used to make silk.
