Nanjing road
(Nanjing Road/Shanghai)

  • According to regulation, for saving you trouble and procedure,  you’d better bring no more than CNY 20,000, or over 5,000 USD to enter China.

  • CNY 3,000  to CNY  5,000  would be enough, If you have booked a China tour from a travel agency and don’t want to buy anything.

  • CNY 10,000, travel on your own. It is better to not bring so many cash with you, because it is not safe. If you are travelling on your own, CNY 10,000 is far away from enough. Therefore you need to exchange money in banks in China when in shortage of cash.
