Greetings from Bonnie, Top China Travel. Thanks for your message to us.
Choosing the best time to visit China depends on which places you wish to visit, what type of weather you enjoy.
May, September and October are the peak tourist months at China's most popular destinations when the weather is most comfortable, but prices are higher, and everywhere is more crowded.
Prices drop a bit in the shoulder season, which runs from late March through April and from June through August.
The low season arrives in late November, and continues through the winter when there are fewer crowds and the prices are lower.
Hope it is helpful for you. Feel free to contact with us in any moment!
Best Regards!

- could a tour be tailor made to see both Lhasa Tibet and Mt Everest base camp in less than the 8 day package advertised - say 5 or 6 days?
- how much notice do I need to provide to get relevant permits for entry to Tibet / Mt Everest. I would be hoping to travel during July.
Thank you

Greetings from Bonnie, Top China Travel. Thanks for your message to us.
It can not be sure that a tour to see both Lhasa Tibet and Mt Everest base camp can be made, as the Chinese policy to enter Tibet changes a lot. Greetings from Janet, Top China Travel. Thanks for your inquiry. I am pleased to help you planning your trip to China during Jun or Jul. Before sending you our detailed program with quotation, I have the questions as below:
1) If you travel alone?
2) One week in Beijing and one week in Shanghai are both too long for staying, normally, 4 days / 3 nights in Beijing, 3 days / 2 nights in Shanghai is enough. If you'd like to visit more cities or shorten your stay?
3) Which star hotel do you prefer to stay? 5* -- like Crowne Plaza or JW Marriott (JW Marriott is more deluxe) 4* -- like Holiday Inn or Marriott by Courtyard or any local managed 4* hotels 3* -- Holiday Inn Express or any local managed 3* hotels
I might probably help you to quote the international air fare, but please let me know if you have exact departure date? Looking forwards to hearing from you soon. Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us.

With the motto of being your faithful friend in China and creating ever-lasting memories of your China trip, we have been devoting ourselves in providing the good services with reasonable prices which could be adjusted according to your tour budget after we receive further requests from you.
Your E-mail has been well received by us and noted that you would like to travel to Zhangjiajie via Beijing. One way from Beijing to Zhangjiajie is about 1600 km and we’ve got direct train and flight. The cheapest way, as far as I concerned, is to take train, and I am very pleased to give all the information as below for your reference:
One direct train from Beijing to Zhangjiajie, daily departure
Train Number: K967 (departure time at 0845 a.m.; ETA arrival time at 0900 a.m. the next day)
Train duration: 24 hours
Hard seat: at US$45 per person, incl. ticket handling fees (cheapest way!)
Hard sleeper: at US$80 per person, incl. ticket handling fees
Soft sleeper, at US$115 per person, incl. ticket handling fees
The difference from hard sleeper to soft sleeper:
Hard sleeper, open door, 6 berths in one cabin
Soft sleeper, private cabin, 4 berths in one cabin
You can also consider the direct flight which is much more convenient, although it is expensive…FYI
Beijing to Zhangjiajie, via CZ6600 (0640/0910), 2.5 hours
Economic class: rack rate at US$248/p.p, incl. tax and fuel surcharge
Economic class, approx. discounts (expect for 30% off, on October), at US$185/p.p, incl. tax and fuel surcharge
Hope the above is clear and will meet your expectation accordingly. Should you need any further information, please just feel free to contact us at any time.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
P.S. We can also arrange tour in Zhangjiajie and could offer you very competitive rate! You might try us if you haven’t booked the tour yet :)
Sincerely yours,
Daniel
