Being invited by Mr. Mofizur Rahman, Managing Director of NOVO AIR Ltd, my personal friend and our partner in Bangladesh, Daniel and I went to Dhaka for the exhibition hosted by Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB). It is my first time traveling to that country, and I was really looking forward to the new experience and also meeting Mofiz in his own country.
It was about 2 hour’s flight from Kunming to Dhaka by China Eastern Airlines. Mofiz’s company already started the chartered plane from Guangzhou to Dhaka by China Southern Airlines, which is more convenient for business travelers, especially to Canton Fair.
Dhaka airport is not very big and by the time we arrived there, there were not too many passengers.

Mofiz arranged us stay at Dhaka Regency Hotel, nice and comfortable room.

The next day was the grand opening ceremony of the exhibition. This exhibition is considered to be the biggest event for tourism in Bangladesh. Lots of honored guests were invited. The exhibition was open to public and we saw a lot of inquiry to travel to China and we felt the potential of this new market.

It was Chinese Moon Festival during the time we stayed in Dhaka, and we were invited to attend the party hosted by Chinese Commercial Chamber in Bangladesh. It was a nice experience to celebrate holiday with them there. I was singing a song on the stage.
In NOVO AIR’s office, Daniel was giving a presentation of our tour packages to their sales team.
It was a nice trip, though it was short. We do see the potential in this new market and we do hope the cooperation can go further. Bangladesh has a long friendship with China. All the people we met there are very nice and friendly. It was touching when hearing everyone we met saying “ China, good friend”. Thank for Mofiz’s hospitality, and I hope I can meet you and your team again in China.
