♦Embassy services for New ZealandersHelp in an emergency
Workers at New Zealand embassies can assist you in various ways in case you enter into issues abroad. However there are several restrictions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Safe Travel website has info related to what the embassy team can and cannot do to help.

Emergency Travel Documents
In case your passport has been missing, stolen or destroyed, and you have to take a trip urgently, an Embassy or High Commission may possibly be able to issue an Emergency Travel Document (ETD).

New Zealand representatives abroad can carry out specific legitimate or notarial acts according to the legislation of New Zealand eg. the taking of affidavits, affirmations and statutory declarations.
