Confucian Six Arts City

Confucian Six Arts City is sited in Chunqiu Road, Nanxin District, Qufu in Shandong Province, China, central area of Qufu City with convenient transport. It is near to Confucian Temple and Confucius Family Mansion in Qufu.
 

Apart from the old, there is also the new which commemorates Confucius. Confucius Six Arts City is an educational theme park show-casing the life and works of Confucius with modern high-tech means and devices. Six Arts City takes its name from the six arts mastered by Confucius, that is, music, mathematics, calligraphy, charioteering, archery and ancient rituals. Each of the arts is presented in separate settings in an area of 200,000 square metres of impressive architecture and décor, with modern high-tech means. Apart from the educational and entertainment value of the centre, it speaks of the sustainability of the Confucian heritage well into the modern world.



Confucius Six Arts City Scenic Spot is divided into two parts: Confucius Six Arts City (six arts and cultural experience area) and the Park of Confucian Hometown (folk display area). Here, you can experience welcome ceremony and blessing ceremony rituals, get to learn Confucian six arts (music, mathematics, calligraphy, charioteering, archery and ancient rituals) to have a better understanding of Confucian culture, you can also participate in playing drum, carrying the sedan, spinning brocade and other folk performances. There is music performance at 10:00am and 3:00pm every day Confucian Six Arts Grand Theatre, which you should not miss.
