What to see in Chimelong Safari Park

Chimelong Safari Park houses over 20,000 rare animals with more than 500 different species. These include 10 giant pandas - China's national treasure, 50 koalas from Australia, more than 150 white tigers, Orang-utans from Malaysia, Asian elephants from Thailand, anteater from Honduras and many other endangered species. All the rare animals live in communities in which they can live and breed harmoniously.

Chimelong Safari Park is the first park in China to introduce a self-drive tour. The self-drive tour allows tourists to watch the wild animals while driving their own car in the special zone around the park. The self-driving area stretches nearly one million square meters in total. This kind of tour mode offers tourists a new and exciting expedience in the park.

In addition to a variety of rare animals for guests to view, there are also a lot of performances by animals. Safari Park presents the world's most enchanting white tiger performance for guests, as well as three other famous animal performances, that is, Elephant Theatre, Journey to the West Theatre, and African Animals Show. How to get there

One can take Subway Line No.3 to and get off at Hanxi Changlong Station, then get out of the station from Exit E and you will reach the pick-up point of Chimelong free shuttle bus, which will take you directly to the park. Visitors can also take Bus No 304, 562 to and get off at Chimelong Safari Park stop.

Route Tips

Guests are not allowed to feed the animals in the park, so you are not allowed to carry food to go into park. It is pretty easy to buy food in the park.

The Chimelong Safari Park covers an area of more than 2,000 acres and is divided into two parts: self-driving tour area and walking tour area. The self-driving tour area is located in the western half of the park. It is characterized by large-scale stocking of wild animals. The pedestrian area is located in the eastern half of the park, featuring in rare wild animals from all over the world. All areas are located in the walking area.
