Beijing to Lhasa Train Schedule For T27


There is only one train sent from Beijing West Railway Station at 20:00 to Lhasa Railway Station at 15:40 (+1days). It is an express train T27 in green color,  which has a total mileage of 3761 kilometers. This train will spend you about 42 hours and 42 minutes traveling from Beijing to Lhasa. For tourists who are the first time to get into the Tibet, the train will become the first choice. You can not only gradually deal with the discomfort of altitude sickness, but also can enjoy the fantastic scenery along the way. Also, there are tow kinds of sleeper seats on China's trains which are hard sleeper seat and soft sleeper seat. Hard sleeper seats are divided into upper hard sleeper, middle hard sleeper and lower hard sleeper (lower hard sleeper is the best); while soft sleeper seats are divided into upper soft sleeper and lower soft sleeper (lower soft sleeper is better). It is highly recommended to buy a ticket for soft sleeper, which will make your train travel more comfortable.

3. In China, taking a train is a comparative cheaper way to cut down the travel cost. While correspondingly, the comfortable level is lower than by air.
Luggage: you need to take the luggages by yourself and keep an eye of them on transporting time, no luggage-checking service on the train
Carriage: it may be crowded when in the domestic travel seasons as well as summer holidays.

Best Time to Visit Beijing:
The best time to travel in Beijing is in spring and autumn, especially the late March to May, and September to mid-October. Spring and autumn have better weather without the disturbance of summer heat and winter coldness.

Best Time to Visit Lhasa:
The best time to visit Lhasa is in summer and autumn, especially from August to October. The warm and humid climate in these two seasons is unlike the dry and windy weather in winter and spring.

Try to Avoid Dmestic Travel Season
The most crowded seasons in China are Chinese Spring Festival (usually in late Jan or early Feb.), International Labor Day (May 01 to 03) and National Day (Oct 01-07). Spring Festival and the National Day golden week are the most crowded time for travelling.
