Day 1Arrival Manila

Welcome to Manila! Manila is the capital and chief city of the Philippines. Upon arrival at Manila Airport, you will be greeted by our local tour guide and transferred to check in your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 2Manila

Accommodation: In Malina

In the early morning, our local guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Taal Volcano, which is situated about 70 kilometers south of Manila. We will drive through the countryside of Malina for about 2 hours to the volcano. Then board a traditional outrigger boat for around 30 minutes to the Taal Volcano Island in the middle of the Taal Lake that fills the Taal Caldera. Taal Volcano Island is said to be the smallest active volcano in the world. Taal Lake is also the 3rd largest lake in the Philippines. Upon arriving at the island, we will hike uphill through the hardened black lava the rim of the crater. You will enjoy stunning views here and find many endemic species. Then we will back to the shore and have lunch there. In the afternoon, we will visit the old heritage town of Taal, which is well-known for the restored beautiful houses dating to the 18th and 19th centuries. In the old town, we will also find its famous hand-embroidered fabrics and hand-made knives. Then we will visit the Leon Apacible Museum, Gregorio Agoncillo House, and the Galleria Taal in the town. We will back to Manila downtown in the late afternoon. Enjoy your leisure time at night.

Day 3Manila Banaue

After breakfast in Manila, we will check out and drive to Banaue, a town on the Cordillera mountain range in the north of the island of Luzon, in the Philippines, famous for the stunning rice terraces, which are a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will be highly impressed by the stunning mountainous landscape during the drive trip. It will take about 8-9 hours driving from Manila to Banaue. Therefore, we will stop en route for lunch and photo ops. Upon arriving in Bayombong, we will stop to visit the Provincial Museum, learning more about Luzon.

Day 4Banaue Sagada

Meals: Breakfast
Accommodation: In Sagada

In the morning, we will hop into a Jeepney (local taxi) and go to visit the heritage rice terraces of Batad. In the afternoon, we will continue our trip to the Museum of Mountain Culture in Bontoc. Tonight, we will overnight in Sagada.

Accommodation: In Sagada

Sagada, a small town in the mountain province of Luzon. Tourists go to visit Sagada for its refreshing climate, beautiful caves as well as the hanging coffins. It is also an outdoor paradise in the Philippines with the serene mountains. Free at leisure to enjoy the tranquility here. Or you can take an optional hiking tour or trip to explore the local caves and hanging coffins.

Day 6Sagada Vigan

Meals: Breakfast
Accommodation: In Vigan

In the morning, we have to see goodbye to Sagada and set off for Vigan, which is a well-preserved Spanish colonial town. You will enjoy your free time upon arrival. You can walk around this beautiful town by yourself at night.
 

Day 7Vigan

Meals: Breakfast
Accommodation: In Vigan

In the morning, we will visit Santa Maria Church, which is on the World Heritage List. Free at leisure in the afternoon for you to explore this lovely town. You can visit some local pottery shops, the local handloom weavers. Or you can take an optional horse-drawn carriage tour in the town.

Day 8Vigan Laoag Manila

Meals: Breakfast
Accommodation: In Manila

See goodbye to Vigan, we will drive northward. We will visit the world heritage-listed Paoay Church (Saint Augustine Church) on the way. Then we will take a flight from Laoag to Manila. You will be pick up from the airport and transfer to your hotel.
 

Day 9Departure Manila

Meals: Breakfast

Free at leisure before transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
