Thank you Top China Travel for a fabulous visit to your wonderful country.
I was apprehensive about visiting China, but thoroughly enjoyed our travels if this beautiful country.
What made the trip was having a guide in 4 of the 5 cities we visited.
Our guides meet us at the airport, took us to our accommodation, picked us up for our daily activities, returned us back to our accommodation and made invaluable recommendations for our evenings. Then made sure we not only got back to the airports, but ensured we had the right terminals, flights and saw is right through to customs.
Having a guide made sure we went to the best sights, at the best times to avoid the queues, getting tickets in advance, making sure we got the best photo opportunities in the best places. And all with informative information about sights and history.
If we had tried to see what we saw on our own, we would have missed so much and spent a long time trying to find it all.
Thank you to Jeremy in Guilin. It was great to get out into the country side and see the hard working farmers tendering their crops, and witness up close the celebration of families remembering their departed families.
To Linda in Beijing. Your warm manner as you taught us about the history of your country, and accepting the challenges of walking the steepest section of the wall with us. Thank you.
Olivia in Xian, the Terra Cotta soldiers was awesome and your making sure we went to government stores so we we're not ripped off, when we brought a soldier and tea.
And Summer in Zhangjiajie, the glass bridge, the glass pathway on the side of the stairway to heaven and your lovely singing. Thank-you for a wonderful tour.
Our guides made our visit to China, a wonderful holiday, thank you all. We wish you well for your futures.
Kind regards from Leah, Angus, Cameron, Maree and Todd

My husband wasn't even interested in China, after researching all of the great things to discover, checking reviews, services and prices we decides to trust TripAdvisor reviews and we booked with Top China Travel, PRIVATE TOUR. OMG, it was amazing!, we booked with Rebecca, very professional, she answered all of my questions and we had manny, we went the to get our Visa at the China consulate in San Francisco it was ready in 3 days, we book our own flights. When we got to Beijing beautiful and safe city, there was our first PRIVATE tour Guide, Daniell, even our plain was delayed, when to a very nice car with our driver, very nice hotel Howard Johnson Beijing, all of the hotels very nice, like 4 to 5 stars. After that we went on high speed train to Xi'an, we wanted to experience 305 Km per hour speed, the same thing great city, private tour is the way to go! It was only getting better, then Chongqing, Yangtze river cruise so beautiful and peaceful, Shanghai, waw, Guilin a must see natural beauty, then Hong Kong, every thing was so well coordinated, the bilingual guides super nice, the breakfast and lunch included more than enough to skip dinner. My husband says now, "Money well Spent", we recommend TOP CHINA TRAVEL" to anybody, thank you Rebecca

My father & I chose Top China Tours for our 8 day trip which we enjoyed thoroughly. Janet was our vacation planner. She was very professional and helped us through each step of the process. Not only did we see the usual tourist locations (Great Wall, Terra Cotta Soldiers, etc.), she was very flexible to our other visit desires. The tour guides in each city were personable, knowledgeable and spoke very good English. Rather than visit the tourist location of the Great Wall, we drove to a very rural location. The wall was in it's original state. I suggest this location only for those able to hike rugged terrain. The scenery was breathtaking. Xi'an while being the oldest city was bubbling with university students. This was our favorite stop. Our hotels were excellent. Make sure you stay in the downtown areas to explore after your tours. Air quality is bad in the cities so asthma suffers beware. If you plan to use ATMs make sure you have your card PIN. Starbucks, McDonalds & KFC are located everywhere should you need some variety.

We recently returned from a 16 day tour of China. Our holiday was organised by Rebecca Wei who was a pleasure to deal with. We arrived in Beijing and departed from Shanghai. There was lots to organise as we had two internal flights and three train journeys as well as three nights on a boat cruising the Yangtze river. All the arrangments fell into place like clockwork, our guides were excellent, spoke very good english and had a good knowledge of the places we visited. We saw some fantastic sights but some of the highlights for us were The Great Wall, The Yungang Grottoes, The Hanging Temple Datong, The terrracotta warriors and the muslim quarter in Xiang and the cruise on the Yangtze. We travelled in September so the temperatures were around 28C [ fine for us as we live in Durban] it is also a good time as the lines to get enterance to some places were very short. There was a lot of walking involved so comfortable walking shoes are a must as well as a sun hat. We stayed in a couple of "traditional" hotels which we loved and then some very upmarket hotels. The exception was the hotel in Xiang which scored 100% on location but had some very unfriendly staff a poor restaurant as well as putting us in an unrenovated room for the first night. We moved to the renovated floors for the other night which was much better. I should add here that this was a mistake by the hotel not TCT] My one regret is that we should have stayed a night in Wuzhen Water Town but that really was not practical as we had to leave our hotel in Shanghai at 4 in the morning to catch the flight home. We have some wondefull memories so thank you Rebecca and TCT for organizing a really interesting holiday Andrew and Anne B, DurbanSouth Africa

We used Top China Travel for planning our trip from Shanghai to Hangzhou. Bonnie from TCT was our contact person. She was very helpful, corresponded with us by email before our trip and was extremely responsive and flexible, trying to accommodate our interests. . Every aspect of the trip was well planned and organized. She purchased our tickets on the bullet train, reserved our hotel in Hangzhou (hotel Shangri-La), arranged for airport transfer, and excellent private guide in Hangzhou and Shanghai. We highly recommend TCT for visiting China. Thank you Bonnie.

Just returned home to the US after a 6 day China Tour. TCT, our guide Cathy, drivers and Janet our tour organizer all exceeded our expectations. We especially appreciated the ability to shorten or lengthen our days as our energy levels permitted - this was truly a private tour experience.

I enjoyed my trip to China thanks to my tour guides; Angela in Beijing and Waiting in Shanghai. Both of them were incredibly knowledgeable about their particular cities and were able to answer any questions I had. I wouldn't have taken so many great pictures if it weren't for my tour guides and them advising me on great picture moments. With both Angela and Waiting, it felt like I was touring China with good friends; which was great since I went on this trip solo. I will definitely book with TCT next time I visit China. Thank you for making my first vacation abroad memorable.

Just returned from two weeks of travel through China set up by Rebecca at Top China Travel. Absolutely perfect experience. In each city our guides and drivers were the best! Started in Beijing, then Xian, Yangtze River Cruise, Wuhan and Shanghai. In each city a university educated tour guide was waiting for us full of local history and information. Additional evening attractions like Beijing Opera and Tang Dynasty Show were perfect. She set up a cooking lesson for us with a private family in Beijing that was the best. Each and every one of our requests were honored and planned specifically for us. A special trip to Wuhan, off the normal tourist path was delightful. We finished the trip with a visit to Shanghai Disney. So thankful to this organization for the trip of a lifetime.

From the minute I contacted Vicky at Top China Travel to book our holiday, to the time we were taken to Pudong airport for our flight home, the experience was perfect. My wife and I visited Beijing, Xian and Shanghai and all of our tour guides were fluent in English, very knowledgeable and very friendly. Thank you Vicky and all at TCT and I will definitely be in contact when I return to China.

I booked the 8 day Beijing, Xian and Shanghai tour. Merry was our guide in Beijing. She was great. Met us at airport. Was on time for all transfers and communicated everything to us ahead of time. We let her make the food choices for us after she enquirered what we like. She chose very well. The food was outstanding. She asked what we liked and catered our tour to our liking. We added to one day making it a 12 hour day. She was polite and professional throughout. We stayed at Howard Johnsons Paragon hotel. It wAs a nice hotel and the complimentary breakfasts were great. Off to the next portion of our trip.

In April and May, 2017, my wife and I went to China. We booked our trip online from Australia. The girl we dealt with was called Rebecca. She was absolutely fantastic. We changed our minds, about our destinations, many times, in the planning process but Rebecca was always there to give us advice and make suggestions. At one stage, we hadn't heard from her, for about two days. She apologised for the delay because she got married!
We went to Shanghai, Guilin,Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Chengdu, Lhasa, Xian and Wuhan. We had the good fortune to meet Rebecca when we were in Guilin. It was great to meet the person, who had made our trip so absolutely successful.
We found out about Top China Travel, via Trip Adviser. We can only say, from our experience, if you are going to China, book through them and ask for Rebecca. Rebecca was a pleasure to deal with and she is an absolute asset to this company.
