Wuzhen Water Town (乌镇） is located in Wuzhen Town, Tongxiang, China, 80 km from Hangzhou and Suzhou, 140 km from Shanghai. Wuzhen water town has a long history of 6,000 years. It is a typical ancient water towns in southern Yangtze River, known as the "a land flowing with milk and honey, House of Silk". With its unique flavor of the cuisines, colorful folk festivals, deep heritage and timeless lifestyle, Wuzhen has become a living fossil of ancient oriental civilization. The highlights of this ancient include Ancient Bed Museum, Shadow Play Theatre, Water Market, Chinese Footbinding Culture Museum, Indigo Fabric Workshop, etc.
There are many buses leaving from Bei Guangchang Bus Terminal (北广场站) of Suzhou (near to Suzhou Railway Station) or Suzhou South Bus Terminal（苏州汽车南站）. The journey takes about 1.5 hour and the ticket fare is about 35 yuan.
Or you could take bus to get to Tongxiang Bus Terminal from from Bei Guangchang Bus Terminal of Suzhou (near to Suzhou Railway Station) or Suzhou South Bus Terminal first. Then take bus from Tongxiang Bus Station to get to the water town, which departs every 15 minutes and takes about 25 minutes.
There are no direct trains between Suzhou to Wuzhen Water Town, so visitor could take high-speed train (D-series or G-series trains) from Suzhou Railway Station or Suzhou North Railway Station to get to Tongxiang Railway Station first. After get out of the railway station, just take Bus 282 to arrive directly at Wuzhen Water Town.
