High Speed Trains from Pingyao to Xian

 
Since the Pingyao Gucheng Railway Station had been set to service in July 2014 and the Xian North Railway Station had been set to service in November 2011, the efficiency of this trip has upgraded to a new level. Compared to 8 or even 10 hours fast train trip, the high speed train has shortened the hours down to 3 .There will be always eight trains covering this journey daily, except during national holidays there might be more. Best Time to Visit Pingyao:
The best time to visit Pingyao is in autumn and winter, especially September, October, and November. And another recommended time is Chinese New Year which may lie in Jan or Feb. The autumn time in Pingyao is comparative prosperous because of the Pingyao International Photography Festival in mid-September.Travel to China

Best Time to Visit Xian:
The best time to visit Xian is from spring (March) to autumn (November), especially June, July, August and September.

Try to Avoid Domestic Travel Seasons
Try to plan your Xian tour by avoiding the peak holidays. Because of the popularity of Xian and traditional architectures for Chinese tourists, those attractions become more crowded in these periods.

The most crowded seasons in China are Chinese Spring Festival (usually in late Jan or early Feb.), International Labour Day (May 01 to 03) and National Day (Oct 01-07). Spring Festival and the National Day golden week are the most crowded time for travelling.
