Hi, I am planning to go to Inner Mongolia on 10th to 12th of May. I heard that it is not a good time to visit the grassland in Inner Mongolia as the grass are not fully grown yet and the scenic view is not good enough. Is it true? Look forward to your advise

Dear friend,

Thanks for contacting Top China Travel

Yes, you are right. The grass are not fully grown yet and the scenic view is not good enough in May in Inner Mongolia.

The best time to travel in Inner Mongolia grassland areas is in summer, especially from July to September.
The eastern part of Inner Mongolia is a semi-humid climate zone, also known as the grassland zone. In the grassland area, the spring, summer and autumn are almost connected together.

The climate is mild and clear in May-September, which is very suitable for traveling. But if you want to see the national customs of the grassland, it is best to go in July-September. The grassland during this period shows another beauty--the annual "Nadam" conference will be held on the grassland.

There are some other tips of visiting Inner Mongolia, you may have a look at: /innermongolia/innermongolia-travel-tips.htm.

Would you like us to arrange the Inner Mongolia itinerary with quotation for you, including the accommodation, the sightseeing, transportation, meal and things like that. If yes, could you please inform us more details about your tour as following:
1. How many people will there be in the tour? Are you travel alone?
2.Which kind of hotel would you prefer to stay?
3. Which month are you going to visit the grassland finally since May is not the best time to visit it?

Any further request or question, please feel free to contact with us.

Best regards,

Vicky
