hi I would like to book a ticket train ticket from Yichang to Chengdu after the cruise. I am not sure how to go about it. Can you help please?

Please kindly be advised that it is around 12:00-13:00 when you check out from the Yangtse River Cruise boat. Therefore, we suggest you take the train in the late afternoon to Chengdu.

There isn't any train which start from Yichang and end at Chengdu. Therefore, all the trains from Yichang to Chengdu start from other cities, but have a stop at Yichang station.
