My family of 5 is planning to take a cruise from Chongqing to Yichang. After we arrive at the dock of Yichang, what is the easiest way to the Yichang airport? We are going to fly from Yichang to Shanghai after the cruise. Is the airport shuttle stop near the dock? Is downtown Yichang near the dock? Yangtze cruises use three docks in Yichang: New Century Port, Taohuacun Port (Peach Flower Village Port) and Yichang Passenger Port. Yichang Passenger Port is located in the city area but Yangtze cruises seldom use it. Yichang New Century Port (located at No.1 Jianshe Road, Xiling District, Yichang City) and Taohuacun Port (located at Yemingzhu Road, Xiling District, Yichang City)are the main docks used for Yangtze River cruise ships. New Century Port is located 5 kilometers from Taohuacun Port. And Taxi and bus are both available between them.

For downtown Yichang is still quite a distance, New Century Port and Taohuacun Port are about 30 kilometers or takes 30-40 minutes by car from downtown Yichang city. Normally, Victoria Cruises, New Century Cruises and President Cruises stop at New Century Port, but sometimes it may be changed according to the river condition, so you'd better check before you cruise, making sure you know the adequate boarding time and port.

There are a couple of options for you to get to Yichang airport from Yichang dock (take New Century Port as example). But to be noticed, that there is no shuttle bus between the dock and the airport. 

►Options 1 By Car Rental

You can take a taxi, but it may be crowded for you five people in a taxi. Moreover, for you just take a cruise, there must be too much luggage. It may be better for you to arrange a transfer in advance.

►Option 2 By Taxi
It is about 39 kilometers (24 miles) from Yichang Airport to New Century Pier or Taohuacun Port. It takes about one hour and costs about 120 Yuan by taxi.

►Option 3 By Bus
You can also Bus No. 10 near Yichang New Century Port and get off at Yichang downtown. Then transfer to airport express or taxi to get the airport.
