China Yan’an in the red tourism season from Jun to Oct

China Yan’an begins its Red Cultural Tourism Season from June to October. It is the first session which aims to develop the related tourism in Yan’an.

 

Co-sponsored by the Yan'an municipal government and the Shaanxi Tourism Administrative Bureau, the activities aim to promote the red tourism industry and the development of related industries. Liu Jinping, deputy director of the National Tourism Administration, said that the central government plans to develop red tourism to highlight the revolutionary tradition.

 

Yan'an, a city in northern Shaanxi, was the seat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China from 1935 to 1948 and has a large number of sites associated with the revolution.
