The second session of China Culture Relics Conferrence held in Beijing

The second session of China Culture Relics Conferrence held in Beijing with the theme "Harmonious development, promote scientific protection".

Delegates summarized the progress in the protection of cultural relics made over the course of 2012, and discussed the future tasks and prospects in the field.

An Ran, general secretary of the China Culture Relics Protection Foundation, hosted the conference and presented an academic summary entitled "The protection of cultural relics and culture." Additionally, Zhang Bai, member of China's people's political consultative conference and president of the China Culture Relics Protection Foundation, also held a speech during the conference.

On a final note, the conference handed out ten awards to outstanding examples of architectural and cultural restorations across China, including the Xialusi murals, the ‘Three Lanes and Seven Ports' area of Fuzhou City and the Chongsi building of Xujiahui middle school in Shanghai.
