Chengdu temple fair with dragon lanterns decoration
( Post Time:February 03,2012 )
The lantern show at the temple fair will focus on the Three Kingdoms theme with elements from the dragon year. A large lantern set that shows a dragon coming out of the mountain is most attractive. It amazes spectators with a nine-meter giant dragon fireball that is made of 320,000 recycled medicine bottles. With the concept of the environmental protection the lantern set reminds people to treat the earth kindly.
The organizing committee put forward 11 sets depicting dragon images of eleven dynasties. They included the jade pig dragon unearthed of the Hongshan cultural relics, jade dragon of the Shang Dynasty (16th century -11th century BC), dragon of the Sui and Tang dynasties (AD 581-907), dragon of the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911), and dragon of the modern time.
The lantern sets exhibit the evolution of the images of dragons over thousands of years, enabling tourists to perceive the long history and national spirit of the Chinese nation.
This year, the Chengdu temple fair will set up a number of 3D holographic projections at the Sifang Pavilion. They adopted the most advanced holographic imaging technology and theatrical technology to present virtual characters of the Three Kingdoms (AD 220-280) in 3D song and dance performances.
The holographic platform is made of glasses that can present the best image effect at a highest price for holographic theaters. The platform will be the largest of its kind in the country.
