Day 01 Arrival, Guilin(No meals)
Arrive in Guilin, your gateway city of this tour. Be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Located 259 miles northwest of Guangzhou (about one hour's flight), Guilin is world-famous for its serene landscape, Karsts limestones formations, mist-covered hills and bamboo groves. Meanwhile it is the home to more than ten ethnic groups, such as Han, Zhuang, Miao, Yao, Hui and Dong. On the way from airport to your hotel, you see dozens of pretty hills everywhere in the city of Guilin. It is a city of hills and green trees and boasts one of the most photographed areas of China.
Day 02 Guilin--Yangshuo--Guilin (B/L)
Depart from hotel in the morning and be transferred to the Pier for Li River Cruise(about 4 hours and the lunch will be served on board). Savor the fairy-tale scenery when sail down the meandering river to Yangshuo. Be transferred back to Guilin in the late afternoon. Optional Banquet of Rice Noodle and Longji Minority Show are available.

A double-decker cruiser is waiting for your coming in the pier. The landscape from Guilin to Yangshuo is the masterpiece of nature. The Li River, the mother river of Guilin, belongs to the pearl River System, and is one of the inland rivers with the best water quality in China, as well as the representative of the landscapes of Guilin. The crystal water, picturesque mountains, peaceful farm field, hard-working fishmen and wondering water buffalos compose a poem of Guilin scenery and life. The cruiser floating on the river makes you in an unreal dream. After about four hours' sailing, the one-thousand-year-old Yangshuo Town comes into sight. Then disembark and browse around this small oriental but western-influenced town. The West Street earns its name since almost everyone in West Street can speak fluent English and every restaurant or bar offer menus in several languages. You will feel no boarder and distance here and fall in love with the town at the first sight. Moreover, it is flanked by small shops and vendor stands selling different kinds of souvenirs, which are the best gifts for your friends and relatives. In the late afternoon, drive back to Guilin to finish today's fantasy tour.
Guilin Rice Noodles, which can be either in the shape of round or flat, are the most popular snack in Guilin. If you want to know Guilin's culture deeply, you are recommended to choose Banquet of Rice Noodle as your optional dinner. The thing that sets one dish apart from another is the soup, which is made of pork, steak, Lo Han Kuo, and other seasonings. Depending on different kinds of ingredients used in the soup, rice noodles can be divided into vegetable, three-fresh, original soup, spicy and sour, beef, and horse meat ones.
Tonight you could choose Longji Minority Show as your optional night show. By taking Longji Terraced Rice Paddies as the cultural background, This grand show of minority nationality songs and dances is made with all great efforts. Combined harmoniously with the minority folk lifestyle and customs from the Miao, Yao, Dong and Zhuang nationalities, the show will be all-side unfolded before your eyes.
Day 03 Guilin --Longsheng(B/L/D)
Depart from hotel in the morning and drive to Longsheng to visit Longji Race Terrace and Ping'an Zhuang Village. Stay overnight at Longji.
[ Itinerary Description ]
Drive 110km to Longji area in the morning, which will take about two and a half hours. Not far, but it should go up and down the mountains. The area is filled with ranges of hills known for its amazing rice terraces that covered. With a history more than 700 years, the spot is not just an attraction nowadays but still being used for growing rice by Yao and Zhuang villagers. When it gets to the Entry, another 40 minutes' walking up will be involved. The rice terraces are much prettier after the raining, fog or while it has been harvested. So be patient when the weather is not so perfect. It will be a great thing to see how the villager to make the mountain arable. The Chinese lunch and dinner will be served at local restaurant and stay overnight in the hostel.
Day 04 Longsheng -- Sanjiang -- Zhaoxing (B/L/D)
Drive to Zhaoxing in Guizhou Province via Sanjiang Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Guangxi, and visit Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge and Drum Tower in Sanjiang, and then Zhaoxing Dong Village upon today's terminal. Stay overnight at Zhaoxing.
[ Itinerary Description ]
The distance between Longsheng and Zhaoxing is about 330km. The road condition might not be good, but the rare and pristine beauty of the area really deserve a visit. Besides, the accommodation along the way to Guiyang is simple.
Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge (25km from Sanjiang) also called Yongji or Panlong Bridge, was built in 1916. It is a wood-and-stone architecture. It is 76 meters long and 3.7 meters wide with 5 stone piers covered by wooden board. On the bridge, there is a long corridor as rain shelter with long benches on both sides. Passengers can take a rest and shelter from rain. On the five piers, there are five four-floor Dong styled tower-like double-eave pavilions, which are covered with cyan tiles and white eaves. The whole bridge is in the shape of crescent and likes a golden phoenix spreading its wings before flying. The pavilion in the middle is hexagon and has a pyramidal roof. The pavilions on the two ends are like magnificent palaces with pyramidal roofs with gourd-shaped top. The westernmost one has gable and hip roof. There are many Dong styled patterns on the corridors and eaves. Chengyang Bridge is not only full of Dong flavor in the shape, but also has superb craftsmanship in the structure. The whole bridge is connected by wooden tenons. It has a complicated structure without the smallest error. Meanwhile, it is beautiful and magnificent and demonstrates the high level of the Dongs' architectural design. In the middle of the bridge erects a marble tablet on which a poem of Guo Muoruo, the famous Chinese poet, was carved. The poem was composed when he was visiting the bridge.
Zhaoxing is famous for its Dong Villages which is the largest in China. Each village here has at least one drum tower, a wooden structure built without nails and can erect as tall as 30 meters. As the focal point of the whole town, it is the place villagers holding the special events and ceremonies such as the wedding and public meeting. Dong people has a long history as long as the Qing Dynasty. Because there is no written language, the song becomes a very important part in their daily life.
Day 05 Zhaoxing -- Rongjiang (B/L/D)
Drive to Rongjiang via Congjiang and visit Biasha Miao Village and Chejiang Drum Tower. Stay overnight at Rongjiang.

Morning set off the drive to Rongjiang from Zhaoxing, and the distance between is about 350km. Today's highlight should be Biasha Miao Village (5km from Congjiang) and you have the chance to find out by you own. The village is 7km from Congjiang County, and the most popular Miao village keeping the vast majority of its original character. The custom of drinking a bowl of mandatory rice wine has been remained among Miao villages. One of the distinguishing features of Miao's culture is that they pass down their history by embroidery for there is no available written language. The Miao woman, known for her fine embroidery skill, begin to make her ceremonial clothing since she has fully learnt the art. Lusheng, a kind of Chinese wind instrument, is highly developed by Miao.
Day 06 Rongjiang-- Kaili (B/L/D)
Drive up to Kali in the morning and visit Langde Miao Village on the way.

The distance between Rongjiang and Kaili is about 400km.
Visit another Miao village named Langde which is 30km away from Kaili City. The village here is featured by the long-shirt villagers and their house named Diao Jiao Lou. Supported by several wood pillars under the floor, this kind of house usually has two to four layers. The upper layer is for provision storage, middle people's living and the ground floor livestock. Seen from the long distance, the houses in the oily green trees are like the mirage.
Kaili is the capital city of
Qiandongnan Autonomous Prefecture of the Miao and Dong Ethnic Minorities in Guizhou province. It has a population of approximately 450,000, and the area is 1,306 square meter. A significant population of the Miao and Ge ethnic groups live in Kaili. As the home to minority groups, Kaili host more than 100 Miao festivals throughout the year. It is a popular destination for backpackers and others seeking to experience rural China.
Day 07 Kaili -- Guiyang (B/L/D)
After visiting of Kaili Folk Museum and Matang Ge Village in the morning, drive to Guiyang. Upon arrival, be transferred to the hotel to have a good rest after the long expedition.

The distance between Kaili and Guiyang measures 400km.
Kaili Folk Museum has a collection of over ten thousand items of different ethnic groups in the area. It boasts an ideal place to view the ethnic culture at a glance. Later drive to visit Matang Ge Village which is nor far from Kaili. Ge people are a rarely known group with a population of 10,000 or so. What makes them so special are the unique costumes, the Ge girls' wearing which is similar in style and design to the clothes that ancient Chinese generals once wore. The wax-dyed kerchief looks like a general's helmet; their outer coat looks like armor; the silverware on their body takes the form of a sword, knife and hammer.
The road from Kaili to Guiyang is 220km, which will take about two and a half hours. Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou Province, is located at the east of the Yunnan- Guizhou Plateau in the southwest of China. The city features low latitude, high elevation and diversified landforms. In the subtropical zone, Guiyang enjoys a warm and moist climate, which endowed the city with abundant biological resources.
