Day 1

Arrival Changsha
Arrive in Changsha, the capital city of Hunan Province, be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, is a famous ancient city with a history of 3,500 years. It used to be a place of strategic importance of the state of Chu, a famous prefecture of the Qin Dynasty (221 – 207 B.C.), and the capital of the early Han Dynasty (206 B. C. – A.D. 220). Now Changsha is an important place gathering historical and cultural relics, and a tourism collecting and distributing center of Hunan Province.
 

Day 2

Changsha  Mt. Shaoshan  Zhangjiajie
In the morning, you will have a 1 hour driving to Mt. Shaoshan, to visit the Former Residence of Chairman Mao and his Memorial Hall as well. Then, after another 4 hours long driving, you will reach the famous Zhangjiajie National Forest Park for a sightseeing of Golden Whip Stream, enjoy the magical Eagle Protecting the Whip and Water Winding Four Doors sites along the way.

The hometown of Mao Zedong is called Shanshanchong of Mt. Shaoshan, a narrow and long valley. There were about 600 families living here in the past time. And now it turns into a tourists attraction, especially for red tours of domestic visitors.

The Former Residence of Chairman Mao is located at Shangwu Ground, Tudi Chong, Shaoshan village, Shaoshan Township. On December 26, 1893, Chairman Mao was born in this house, a simple mud-brick farmhouse, which has 13 rooms，and this is where he spent his childhood and youth, attending school and helping his father with his work. The rooms are furnished as they would have looked when Chairman Mao lived there, and most of the utensils are the original ones.

The Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is a unique national forest park located in Zhangjiajie City in northern Hunan Province. In 2004, Zhangjiajie was listed as a UNESCO Global Geopark. The most notable geographic features of the park are the pillar-like formations that are seen throughout the park. They are the result of many years of erosion.

Golden Whip Stream (Jinbian Stream) is famous for its pristine water, its verdant mountains, its steep cliffs and its serene valley. As a veritable “paradise” for plants, its pathways are adorned by an abundance of flowers, trees, and grasses. And it is also a kingdom of animals. Golden Whip Stream is named after Golden Whip Crag, its landmark spot, and runs from Laomo Bay to Shui Rao Si Men(water-surrounded gates). 
 

Day 3

Zhangjiajie
Today, enjoy your one day relaxing tour in this fairyland. After breakfast, you will take cable car up to Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, the best lookout and very core of the scenic area, to enjoy the beautiful scenery. After that, travel to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area for a short visit to the No. 1 Natural Bridge and the Enchanted Stage, etc. Then take a tourism train tour to Ten-miles-Gallery for sightseeing of Herb Picking Old Man and Three Sisters peak etc.

Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve boasts rocky peaks in grotesque shapes and shrouded in drifting mist. The landscape here varies in different seasons and also in one day, which makes Tianzi Mountain a very interesting destination. There are four highlights for the breathtaking sceneries: peak forest, cloud sea, sunrise and winter snow. Cloud and mist in Tianzi Mountain enjoys high reputation nationwide, especially just after the rain, which adds much charm to Tianzi Mountain.

Yuanjiajie Scenic Area belongs to a part of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Decorated by the world’s most beautiful valley Golden Whip Valley, Yuanjiajie scenic area tells travelers what is a marvelous mountain in China.

Day 4

Zhangjiajie    Changsha
After breakfast, you will tour to Dragon King Cave, which is one of the biggest and oldest Karst cave in the world. Then take a 4 hours driving back to Changsha

Dragon King Cave is located one the east direction of Wulingyuan Scenic Area with a 10-km distance. It is the code scenic spot of Zhangjiajie Scenic Area. With its unique scenes, Dragon King Cave is reputed as “the most featuring Karst cave in the world”. Ranking as the oldest and largest Karst cave, it is a potential tourism spot for people to exploring.

The totally length of this cave is about 30km. With an average height of 50 meter and width of 80 meters, there are 58 halls, 28 stone corridors, 15 pearl waterfalls, 3 underground rivers, 2 lakes and 45 pools. Tourists who are walking around these fantastic sites will feel the magic power of the nature.

Day 5

Changsha, Departure
In this morning, you will first take a short visit to Tianxin Pavilion Park, which is the old city tower of Changsha, the only remaining symbol of the ancient city. After lunch, be transferred to the airport for your flight to next destination.

The Tianxin Pavilion Park was constructed in 1924; the present area occupied is 30,000 square meters. Its main spots are classical and elegant. For example, the grand "history cultural celebrities decorated engraving gallery", has collected multitudinous historical celebrities engravings for a period of more than 3,000 years; The "Peaceful Military spirit" giant group sculpture, illustrating the historical picture of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom peasant uprising attacks in Changsha. In the garden the flowers and trees are luxuriant, scattering around the pavilion situated in it, forming a nice contras. Plants popping out making enhancing the scenery, the embellished pavilion and the pond water, the big and small winding path linked up in the green bamboo and flower, making the finite space to contain infinite in poetic and artistic flavor.
