Arrive in Chengdu, the destination of your trip, you will be met at the airport then transferred to the hotel for check-in. Enjoy your own free time for the rest of the day.

Day 2

Chengdu
Today, have a visit to Baoguang Temple, which locates in Xindu District, is one of the oldest and most complex Buddhist temples in China.

Day 3

Chengdu    Mt. Leshan    Mt. Emei
Spend about 1.5hours driving, you will reach Mt. Leshan (150 km) for the Giant Buddha and can then take a cruise to have an overview of this mountain and the Giant Buddha. In the late afternoon, move forward to Mt. Emei (30km) and stay over night in Emei City.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 4

Mt. Emei    Chengdu
In the morning, take a cable car up to Mt. Emei and enjoy your visit to Wannian Temple. After some stroll on the mountain, get down the mountain and continue your visit to Baoguo Temple. Drive back to Chengdu (170 km).

Departure Chengdu
Bidding a fond farewell to Sichuan, drive to the airport for the flight to your next stop.

Chengdu is the capital city of Sichuan Province. With a population of 11 million, it is an important commercial transportation, and communications hub of south-western China. The locals have a reputation for a laid back attitude and knowing how to enjoy life. Historically, Chengdu has a special place in the annals of finance. The world's first paper money, the 'Jiao Zi' was minted in Chengdu in the year 1023.

Today, have a visit to Baoguang Temple, which locates in Xindu District, is one of the oldest and most complex Buddhist temples in China.

The Baoguang (Divine Light) Temple is located in Xindu County, 18km north of Chengdu. The temple acquired its name from the Emperor Xizong of Tang Dynasty when he saw the divine light coming from the top of the temple one night. Baoguang is famous for being built in a large scale. More than 400 huge pillars form a distributive structure of one tower, five halls and sixteen courtyards.
 

Day 3

Chengdu    Mt. Leshan    Mt. Emei

the Giant Buddha Belonging to the Mt. Emei-Leshan Giant Buddha Historic Scenic Area, Registered as a World Natural and Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1997, Leshan Giant Buddha, the largest stone sculpture of Buddha in the world, lies at the confluence of the Min, Dadu and Qingyi rivers. Carved out of a cliff face, it sits impassively against the mountain, hands on his knees and looking across the river with heavy-lidded eyes. To really appreciate the majesty of the statue, taking cruise across the river is a good idea.
 
Located on the southwest periphery of the Sichuan Basin, Mt. Emei is one of the four sacred Buddhist Mountains of China. Seen from afar, the undulating mountain range of Emei resembles a girl's eyebrows; hence, it was so named. Great spectacles of Mt. Emei include the sunrise and sea of clouds seen from the Golden Summit of the mountain.
 

Day 4

Mt. Emei    Chengdu
In the morning, take a cable car up to Mt. Emei and enjoy your visit to Wannian Temple. After some stroll on the mountain, get down the mountain and continue your visit to Baoguo Temple. Drive back to Chengdu (170 km).

Mt. EmeiThere are 30 temples in Mt. Emei scenic area. You will take a cable car to one of most famous-Wannian Temple. In the center of the Wannian Temple there is a huge bronze statue of Samantabhadra mounted on a white elephant. It weighs 62-ton.
 
About 15 kilometers from the Wanning Temple, Baoguo Temple sits at the foot of the mountain at the entrance and exit of the mountain area. 2. Domestic airfare of economic class or train ticket(s) as mentioned in the itinerary. Airport construction fee and fuel surcharge are included.
3. Accommodation (if include Yangtze cruiser) based on two adults sharing one standard twin-bed room (cabin); solo travelers or those who want to occupy one twin-bed room/cabin of their own are required to pay additional charge of single supplement rate (S.SUPP in above price table). A single room (cabin) is subject to availability based on prior request at an additional cost; if the recommended hotel is not available, it will be substituted by a similar one.
4. Driver and English-speaking guide service on normal sightseeing activities noted in the itinerary.
5. All entrance fees to scenic spots as shown in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by local tour guides based on the local circumstances which are beyond the control of TopChinaTravel. TCT will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible.
6. Meals as specified in the itinerary.
