Arrive in Beijing, the capital city of China, be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

The city has a character all its own; there are quadrangles, small alleys, tricycle, boiled mutton, roasted duck, arts and crafts, Peking Opera, The Great Wall, the 2008 Olympics venue and a vibrancy that is the distinctive flavor of Beijing.
 
 

Day 2

Beijing
Depart from your hotel in the morning to visit Tian'anmen Square, the World's largest urban square and the Forbidden City, the largest and most complete ancient imperial palace in the world. Then visit the Temple of Heaven in the afternoon. If you desire, enjoy optional Peking Opera tonight.

Forbidden CityAs the biggest city center square in the world, Tian'anmen Square covering 44 hectares in the heart of Beijing. It is the place where history-changing events and ceremonies occurred. A few steps away, come to visit the Forbidden City, which was the Imperial Palace for 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing Dynasties and, it is one of the largest, and certainly the most completely restored, ancient architectural complex in the world. Walk in the footsteps of Emperors; come to the museum and see with your eyes, and feel with your hearts; you'll begin understand what life in this richest of feudal realms was like for the Imperial Rulers, their concubines and their slaves.
 
After enjoying a delicious lunch, continue on to the Temple of Heaven. Departing from the Imperial vermilion and gold hues of the Forbidden City, The Temple of Heaven is decorated in blue, the color of the Heavens. The perfect harmony between the architectural environment and nature can be felt here; you might easily imagine the vivid spectacle of a great sacrifice to the Heavens for a good harvest. The magnificent Hall of Prayer of Good Harvest is one of the most important and impressive building in China.

Peking Opera is China's national treasure. Expert performers convey powerful emotions to the audience through song, dance, facial make-up, exquisite masks and costume, skilled use of body language and sympathetically integrated musical accompaniment.
 
 

Day 3

Beijing
The star attraction of China is its Great Wall, a massive defensive structure built to keep intruders from entering the mainland. Today you will have the opportunity to traverse the ancient steps of Mutianyu Great Wall. Then you will have a short visit to Ming Tombs (Changling Tomb). This evening, Peking Roasted Duck is available for your optional dinner.

Mutianyu Great WallMutianyu Great Wall was first built in the mid-6th century during the Northern Qi, making it older than the Badaling section. It is connected with Jiankou in the west and Lianhuachi and Jinshanling in the east. In 1569, the Mutianyu Great Wall was rebuilt, mainly with granite and is one of the best-preserved sections with the largest construction scale and best quality among all sections of Great Wall, being 7-8 meters high and 4-5 meters wide with 22 watchtowers on this 2,250-meter-long section. It served as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs.
 
Then, you will have chance to visit the Ming Tombs which located in the northern suburbs of Beijing. Altogether there are thirteen tombs of Ming Dynasty Emperors from the period after the capital was moved from Nanjing to Beijing. You’ll visit the Changling Tomb, burial site of Emperor Yong Le, the biggest and first built at this historic site. The Lingsi Palace in Changling Tomb's second yard really deserves a visit. This is unique, a magnificent palace made of camphor wood. The ceiling is colorfully painted and supported by sixteen solid camphor posts. The floor is decorated with gold bricks.
 
Peking Roasted Duck is the best-known dish in Beijing. It is very tender and unforgettably delicious. You'll visit a local restaurant to enjoy a full meal and learn the proper way to experience Peking Roasted Duck.

Beijing    Zhangjiajie
In the morning, you can take a truly special excursion to the Hutong Tour of Beijing by rickshaw, you can get close to common folk’s life. Continue to pay a visit to the Summer Palace to see the elaborate decoration of imperial style. After lunch, a free leisure half day for you to strolling Beijing for some shopping. After the tour, be transferred to the airport for your evening flight to Zhangjiajie, regarded as an exhibition hall of local customs show to tourists a lifestyle free of worries. Your Zhangjiajie tour guide will wait for you at the airport and help you to transfer to the hotel.

Located in the northwestern suburbs of Beijing city and built in 1750, the Summer Palace is the existing largest, best-preserved imperial garden in China and a fine example of imperial gardening art. It was constructed in the Qing Dynasty, and in 1998, the site was inscribed into the UNESCO's World Heritage List. The Summer Palace mainly comprises Wanshou Hill that means longevity in Chinese, and Kunming Lake.

The region of Zhangjiajie in northwestern Hunan Province is like a natural labyrinth. Wulingyuan in Zhangjiajie has been included in the World Heritage List and appraised as a national 5A scenic area. The master work of nature in Wulingyuan features thousands of sheer mountain peaks in red color, clear streams and primeval forests, which are ideal havitats of rare animals and birds.
 
 

Day 5

Zhangjiajie    Fenghuang
In the morning, taking about 4.5 hours driving to Fenghuang, the ancient town and enjoy a leisure visiting to the famous “9 scenic places of Fenghuang Ancient Town” such as Former Residence of Shen Congwen, Yang Ancestral Memorial, Ancient East Gate, Tuojiang River, Hongqiao Bridge, etc. After the tour, have a leisure night in this quiet fairy land..

FenghuangFenghuang, which situated on the western boundary of Hunan Province, contains outstanding natural beauty. Day 6

Fenghuang    Zhangjiajie
Enjoy your own exploration in the morning then, after lunch, you will have another 4.5 hours driving back to Zhangjiajie, and prepare for tomorrow's exploration of the Zhangjiajie Scenic Area which is acclaimed for its fantastic formations of peaks, crystal clear waters, spectacular karsts caves and the unrivalled high percentage of forest cover. Stay overnight in Zhangjiajie City.

Day 7

Zhangjiajie
Today after breakfast, we will have a day tour in Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Firstly, have 20min driving from hotel in Wulingyuan District to the entrance of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. When enter into it, go firstly to take the cable car to visit Huangshi Village (1 - 1.5 hour) - one of the top 5 highlight travel itineraries of China. After lunch, continue to visit Golden Whip Stream (2.5 hours hiking) - it is titled as the most beautiful valley in the world. When finish this tour, drive back to your hotel and have rest of this day.

Huangshi VillageHuangshi Village, located in Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie, is one of the top 5 highlight travel itineraries of China. It is said that during the Han Dunasty, Zhang Liang (a politician) quitted from the political field and started his round tour. When he came to this area, he was blocked by officials. And finally, his teacher named Huang Shi Gong helped him to ran away. From then on, this place was called Huangshi Village.

Located in the east of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, named after the 380-meter high Golden Whip Rock, Golden Whip Stream meanders 15 Li. Flowing from Laomo Gully first to Confluence of Four Rivers then to Suoxi Stream, it finally joins Li river, one of the four rivers in Hunan Province. It flows between steep grotesque peaks and luxuriant trees. Here, the meandering streams, the crystal-clear waterfalls, exotic plants and rare animals co-exist and constitute the extraordinarily beautiful, tranquil and natural ecological

Driving from hotel to National Forest Park Entrance (20 min) - Taking scenic shuttle bus to the Huangshi Fort cable way (2 min) - Up by cable car (4 min) - Sightseeing for 2 hours which is reputed as the largest hanging scenery viewing platform in Zhangjiajie National Park - Down by cable car (4 min) - Lunch time in the scenic area (1 hour) - Taking the scenic shuttle bus to the Golden Whip Stream (5 min) - Sightseeing for about 2 hours which famous as one of the most beautiful valleys in the world - Backing to the entrance of the Park and finishing today’s trip - Finishing today’s trip and driving to the hotel in Wulingyuan Scenic Area.

Zhangjiajie    Shanghai
Yuanjiajie Scenic AreaToday after breakfast, we will begin our first day trip to Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Today, we may firstly visit Tianzi Mountain Area (2 hours hiking) - boasts rocky peaks in grotesque shapes and shrouded in drifting mist. After that, taking the scenic shuttle bus to the restaurant to enjoy the lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue to have another hiking trip to visit Yuanjiajie Scenic Area (2 hours) - one of the must-see attractions in Zhangjiajie. During this day, you will have chance to experience the Bailong Elevator - the highest and heaviest outdoor elevator in the world. In the evening, be transferred to the airport for a 2 hours flight to Shanghai. Your Shanghai tour guide will wait for you at the airport and help you to transfer to the hotel.

Located in the northwestern part of Wulingyuan Scenic Zone, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve boasts rocky peaks in grotesque shapes and shrouded in drifting mist. There are many scenic attractions, such as the lofty Imperial Writing Brush Peak, Fairy Maid Scattering Flowers, and the Mid-Air Farmers’ Cottage. The highest peak is 1,260 meters (4,130ft) above sea level and provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. 

Yuanjiajie Scenic Area belongs to a part of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. It situates in the code area of Wulingyuan Scenic Area as the main attraction in Zhangjiejie. Decorated by the world's most beautiful valley Golden Whip Valley, Yuanjiajie scenic area tells travelers what is a marvelous mountain in China.

Enjoy your full day city tour that starts with Jade Buddha Temple visiting, and then, go to Yuyuan Garden, a Chinese classic garden in downtown. Then visit the nearby old street. Continue the trip to the new landmark-Shanghai World Finance Center. In the evening, have a walk along the Bundthe showcase with the old buildings of colonial-era leftover along Huangpu River. In the evening, if you are interested, the Acrobatic Show is available for an optional activity.

Yuyuan GardenToday you'll find a Buddhism shrine - Jade Buddha Temple . Jade Buddha Temple, which is located in a crowd of Shanghai City. It was first built in 1882 in Jiangwan on the southern outskirts of Shanghai. In order to make it convenient for the adherents to visit, it was bodily moved to Shanghai City at the present sire in 1918. It is named for its two bejeweled white jade Buddha. It receives thousands of visitors and worshipers everyday while keeps its sanctity and charming. Carved from a whole piece of white jade, the sitting jade Buddha statue is translucent with a solemn expression, displaying the excellent skill and extraordinary art of Chinese people.
 
Yuyuan Garden has a lot of stories for it was severely damaged in the 19th century and was restored in 1961. This garden was first built in the 16th century by provincial governor, Pan Yunduan, in honor of his father who was the then government minister. It has many scenic courtyards decorated with baroque rockery, pools, and flora that are all connected by corridors and passageways. The delicate design and exquisite layout of the whole garden reveals a strong impression of 'garden in the garden, whole in the part.
 
World Finance Center is a super tall skyscraper in Pudong New Area. It is a mixed use skyscraper which consists of offices, hotels, conference rooms, observation decks, and shopping malls on the ground floors. On 14 September 2007 the skyscraper was topped out at 492.0 meters (1,614.2 feet) and became the second tallest building in the world; as well as the tallest structure on mainland China, including Hong Kong. It is currently the world's tallest completed building by roof. On 28 August 2008, the SWFC officially opened for business.
 
Shanghai World Financial CenterThen it comes to the Bund, the showcase with the old buildings of colonial-era leftover along Huangpu River. The renowned waterfront district is the city's most famous landmark. The word BUND is of Anglo-India origin meaning embankment on the waterfront. It is also the popular site to enjoy the night view of the city.
 
Shanghai offers colorful recreations with rich contents and creative form. Your night may be filled with an interactive old form of art known as the Acrobatics. As one of the traditional art forms, acrobatics has long been popular among the Chinese people for more than 2,000 years. It is famous for its excellent skill; dare-devil performance and the harmonious combination of various kinds perform arts. Those professional performers have been trained of as early as age six or seven so that they can play so well and excellent. It definitely will be an unforgettable night in your memory.
