Situated 7 km in the Baghqi Township, south of Hotan city, the 500-year old walnut tree in Hotan is famed the King of the walnut trees. The king tree is about 20-meter tall and its crown covers an area of 666 square meters. Every year the tree produces 5,000 to 6,000 thin-shelled walnuts.
