The red color wards off anything evil, red is auspicious. In any occasion, people uses ’red’ color to increase the atmosphere of ’celebration’ and ’happiness’. Secondly, you need to put four pomelos on the each direction of the bed. The pronunciation of Pomelo in Chinese is You Zi. It means have one more baby. In Chinese culture, people believe the more sons, more blessing. Having Child constantly, is a kind of best wishes. Besides, some dry fruits like peanuts, jujube, lotus seed are scattered on the bed, the representing sound of characters for these things are also the blessing for new couple. It bless the new couple would have both son and daughter in their future family life. Generally, we would invite an elder people to help new couple for arranging the whole set for wedding bed. This elder should have son and daughter and be the Sandwich Generation who has aging parents and also has their own child. It standard for the extension of life, it also the good wishes for new couple. Besides, the little child, specially the son, he would be invited to scramble the bed. In the Chinese culture it is important for the family to have a son. A son brings honor to his parents, and eternity is passed on through sons.
