Day-by-day Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival, Beijing (No meals)
Arrive in Beijing , your gateway city of China tour. Be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 02 Beijing (B/L)
Depart from hotel in the morning to visit Tian'anmen Square, the largest urban square and Forbidden City, the largest and most complete ancient imperial palace in the world. Then visit Temple of Heaven in the afternoon. Peking Opera is available for your optional night entertainment.

Day 03 Beijing (B/L)
In the morning drive 75km to visit the Great Wall (Badaling Section) first and Ming Tombs (Changling Tomb) , the once lavish burial chambers of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. Peking Roasted Duck is available for your optional dinner.

Day 04 Beijing- - Xi'an (B/L)
In the morning, take a half-day Hutong Tour by rickshaw to visit the ancient lanes and alleyways of Beijing. Be transferred to the airport for the flight to Xi'an in the afternoon.

Day 05 Xi'an (B/L)
Ample time will be provided for the visits of those famous spots including the Qin Terracotta Army Museum , one of the world's most important archaeological finds with troops, horses and carriages in battle formation and Banpo Neolithic Village Museum . Either Jiaozi Banquet or Tang Dynasty Show with Dinner is available for your optional meal.

Day 06 Xi'an - - Shanghai (B/L)
In the morning, you will visit the Shaanxi History Museum and Ancient City Wall , one of the oldest and best-preserved walls in China . Then be transferred to airport for your flight to Shanghai in the afternoon.

Day 07 Shanghai (B/L)
Depart from hotel in the morning to have a whole-day trip of Jade Buddha Temple , Yuyuan Garden, the Old Street, Oriental TV Tower and the Bund , Shanghai's famed waterfront promenade. Traditional Dim-sum Banquet and Acrobatics are available for your optional lunch and night entertainment.

Day 08 Shanghai - - Ho Chi Minh City (B)
Upon arrival in Saigon , our guide will be at the airport to welcome guests and transfer to hotel. The rest of time is at your leisure to adjust yourself to a new country.

Day 09 Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)
Visit the former Presidential Palace which is now preserved as a museum then continue to the History Museum , Notre Dame, Hotel D'ville and Dong Khoi Street .

Day 10 Cu Chi Tunnels Half Day Tour by Speed Boat (B/L)
After breakfast journey to Cu Chi Tunnels by speed boat to avoid the traffic and enjoy the incredible network of rivers around Saigon . After visiting an authentic local market, you will arrive at Cu Chi where you will visit the vast underground network of tunnels built first as a defense against the French and later expanded during the American War.

Day 11 Ho Chi Minh City- - Hoi An (B/L)
This morning after breakfast you will transfer to the airport for the flight to Danang. In the afternoon, experience a walking tour in Hoi An's ancient town, an extraordinary jewel of a town. Hoi An was one of the busiest trading ports in Asia, it managed to remain untouched, preserving all the Chinese, Japanese and European architectures.

Day 12 Hoi An ¨C Hue (B)
After breakfast journey overland to Hue via spectacular Cloudy Pass. This afternoon you will enjoy a city tour to Imperial Citadel which was modeled on the Forbidden City in Beijing . It however suffered a lot of damage during years of war.

Day 13 Hue (B/L)
Enjoy a full day tour of Hue including a boat trip on Perfume River ( Huong River ) to Thien Mu Pagoda and Minh Mang tomb. After lunch you will visit the magnificent Emperor Tu Duc and Khai Dinh's tombs.

Day 14 Hue- - Hanoi (B)
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi . During an afternoon orientation tour, you will experience the tree-lined streets of Hanoi , including the Opera House. Pass by Hoan Kiem Lake en-route to the Army, History and Fine Arts Museums. Then explore the streets around the Ancient Quarter by traditional cycle.

Day 15 Hanoi- Halong Bay (B/L/D)
Depart for Halong Bay approximately four hours away. Upon arrival at Halong Bay you will board our traditional junk boat, the ˇ®Jewel of the Bay' for a delicious seafood lunch. After lunch, explore some of the limestone caves dotted around the bay. Then your captain will find a secluded spot for swimming and sun bathing before dinner.

Day 16 Halong Bay - Hanoi (B/L)
This morning the boat will continue to cruise around the bay to find more secluded areas to either swim or kayak in. At midday, return to the main harbor before transferring to the awaiting vehicle for the journey back to Hanoi . Arrive back in the capital.

Day 17 Departure Hanoi (B)
At your leisure until airport transfer.

  1. Airport/railway station welcome and private transfers between airports/railway stations, hotels and sightseeing spots. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.
  2. Domestic airfare of economic class or train ticket(s) as mentioned in the itinerary. Airport construction fee and fuel surcharge.
  3. Hotel/Yangtze cruiser accommodation based on two adults sharing one standard twin-bed room/cabin; solo travelers or those who want to occupy one twin-bed room/cabin of their own are required to pay additional charge of single supplement rate (S.SUPP in above price table). A single room/cabin is subject to availability based on prior request at an additional cost; if the recommended hotel is not available, it will be substituted by a similar one.
  4. Meals as specified in the itinerary table marked with B/L/D (breakfast in hotel).
  5. Driver and English-speaking guide service on normal sightseeing activities noted in the itinerary.
  6. All entrance fees to scenic spots as shown in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by local tour guides based on the local circumstances which are beyond the control of TopChinaTravel. TCT will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible.
  7. Travel insurance.

  1. Round way International airfare or train tickets, unless otherwise noted.
  2. Visa fee, passport application or renewal fee.
  3. Tips for guides, escort, drives, bellman, etc.
  4. Personal expenses such as excess luggage fees, laundry, postage, communications and beverages.
  5. Optional meals and shows mentioned in the itinerary, which will be added up if the clients desire to take the activities.
  6. Any other changes caused by natural disasters, fires, weather, governmental and local authority orders, political change, strikes, war, riots, quarantine, custom regulations, damages or injury caused by accident beyond the control of TopChinaTravel and that has incurred due to the tourist action violating the laws.
